1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / queen of ellipsis skirt... on: August 16, 2011 07:42:44 PM

immediately upon seeing this vivat veritas pattern: http://grosgrainfabulous.blogspot.com/2011/05/free-pattern-month-day-18-vivat-veritas.html#lotus i thought about doing circle cut outs in the scallop waist... which after much procrastinating has finally been achieved... i gave my skirt a back zip instead of a side, and angled the waist band at the zipper rather than leaving the straight line she had... the waist still jumps away from my body a little bit 'cause i used a stiffer fabric... but i'm overall pretty happy, happy enough to share at least... comments and criticisms welcome and appreciated...

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / instrumental tunic top / mini-dress thing on: October 07, 2007 09:53:13 AM
this is my first time successfully making a top from scratch, it's pretty basic, but i really like the way it came out... and i love this fabric! don't know if you can tell from the pics, but there are cute little guitars, drums and keyboards embroidered on it...

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / what's black and white and cute all over?!? on: April 30, 2007 05:02:50 PM
my new skirt!..

a slightly better image of the fabric:

i haven't hemmed it yet, and since it's already dangerously short, i think i'll just finish it with ribbon or bias tape, should i go with black, or a contrasting color like pink?!?
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / first time sewing from scratch, simple tube dress... on: August 26, 2006 02:59:32 PM

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / pleated khaki skirt... on: May 15, 2006 11:57:56 AM

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / yeah yeah yeahs shirt recon... on: May 06, 2006 03:01:23 PM
this started out as an adult sized tshirt... i took in the sides, took off the sleves, changed the neckline, and shortened it (a little too much originally, hence the waistband, but i like how that turned out, so i'm glad i screwed up initially...)

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / camouflage pants to skirt... on: October 29, 2005 11:55:04 PM
nothing too spectacular, but i'm happy with the results so i thought i'd share... though the back looks a little weird, 'cause i didn't really know what to do with it...

10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / reconstructed ok go shirt... on: February 20, 2005 11:55:42 AM
my first reconstruction, it's hand sewn, therefore a little sloppy, but i'm rather happy with the results...

before, a sleeveless top that didn't fit right:

after, a tube top, that still doesn't fit exactally right:
