11  Fuzzy Fluffy Girly Baby Headbands in CHALLENGE 33 ENTRIES by Lunapooka on: December 01, 2008 08:20:25 PM
My first challenge entry.  I made these for my baby half-sister, Hannah.  Hannah is the first girl for my step-mom after having 3 boys.  She never really thought she was going to get a baby girl.  Since she's already painting Hannah's toenails and looking for cute things to put in her hair, I thought I would make Hannah some stretchy and soft headbands that were super girly.  I got the chance to try them on her when my step mom wasn't looking:

She has a funny look on her face in this one:

I made them with Lion Brand Fun Fur.  I chained 55, hdc in 3rd chain from hook and hdc in each chain across.  Fasten off.  Then I used a thin elastic headband I got in a package from the dollar store and wove it between the posts.  I tied off the elastic and joined the ends of the piece together.  The red flower is made from some leftover red wool yarn.  They turned out very soft and nice.

12  Super Warm Ear Warmer Headband in Crochet: Completed Projects by Lunapooka on: November 30, 2008 09:18:30 AM
This is my first post.  So, a friend of mine had this really cute knit ear warmer thingy that she bought at one of those designer stores. (Abercromie?  I dunno.)  I thought it was cute and I figured I could make something like it in crochet.  Using yarn from my stash and a few false starts I had to rip, I made this while watching Wall-E the other night.
