1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Adorable Crochet Backpack on: February 09, 2013 02:55:15 PM
I made this sweet little backpack for my daughter's little girl.  (She's a nanny and the little girl is 2.)  The backpack with the flowers is the same pattern.

Wouldn't this be a fun gift for a little girl on Easter or a Spring/Summer birthday?

The next time I make it, I'll post the instructions.

2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Just made up a bunch of these handmade washcloths for spares on: January 09, 2013 07:40:08 AM
Just made up a bunch of these handmade washcloths for spares.  I keep them for teacher gifts, birthdays, etc.  The organic cotton ones are super soft, but much more expensive than the regular 100% cotton ones.

Here's the Instructable so I don't have to retype it:  http://www.instructables.com/id/Free-Crochet-Pattern-Not-Your-Grandmas-Crochet-/  (I hope it's okay to put this link here.)

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Sweet Little Halloween Rag Basket on: October 05, 2010 09:29:35 PM
I had forgotten that last year I made this sweet little Halloween basket for my little girl to trick-or-treat with.  I haven't made any rag baskets in a few months because I've been busy with my other crafts, BUT this adorable thing makes me want to start up again!

Here's the link to the written tutorial (no pictures in the tutorial yet):

Good luck!  Send me an email if you have any problems.  Oh!  And be sure to post your new basket here so we can see your creation.

I found this "Haunted House" yarn online and just had to have it!  I decided to make some washcloths with the yarn.

Taking the picture was fun too!

It's finally here!  Fall!   I've been wanting to crochet my little girl a poncho for the longest time.  So last week was the week.  The best part is ... the total cost to make the poncho was $12.00.

8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Pattern Link: Not Your Grandma's Crochet Washcloths! on: August 17, 2010 03:41:36 PM
Sometimes I'll sit in a coffee shop or the park and crochet a washcloth or two.  Nearly always someone stops by and says "my grandma used to crochet washcloths."

These washcloths aren't your grandma's -- that's right.  Make them with yarn full of color and texture.  They are not only for using in the kitchen or bathroom, but are made to brighten up your home.

Here's the url for the free pattern: http://handmadebyannabelle.blogspot.com/2010/04/crochet-pattern-not-your-grandmas.html

I hope you enjoy making them as much as I do!

9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Crochet Your Own Bath Puff - The Perfect Bath Puff Pattern Link! on: July 15, 2010 02:19:38 PM
I cooked up my own bath puff pattern to replace all those stinky nylon ones!  They are great for giving as gifts and keeping in your guest bathroom.  It's pretty simple to make - don't let it scare you!

Here's the pattern:

10  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / How To: His & Hers Drink Cozies on: July 05, 2010 05:23:49 PM

I made these for our house because the kids get TONS of cups out every day to drink from.  If you give them their own cozy (different from the others), they won't guess which drink is their's again!
