1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: May 2010 Birthday Swap - Discussion and Gallery on: June 02, 2010 01:06:54 PM
Hey everyone! I have to make my apologies, some of my packages are going out a little late. I had them all done and everything too  Cry And they'll be sitting and waiting on the coffee table at the cabin when we go back there next month, I suppose. *sigh* They will be remade (Stronger, better, and more awesome than before!) and be in the mail by tomorrow.

3  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Picnic ideas for a picky eater? on: May 21, 2010 12:59:38 PM
So, it's warming up here in Maine, and Sam (my long distance bf) is coming to visit. The last time he came it was too cold for a picnic at 'our' spot, but the weather is going to be perfect this time. There's only a few things- he's picky(er than I am) when it comes to food, and we'll have to do a double picnic- one for lunch and dinner. For the first picnic it'll be lunch at our spot (the lighthouse), and then dinner in the park watching Shakespeare. I'm stuck at coming up with food ideas, so I thought I'd offer it up to you guys.

He doesn't like: Fish, jalepenos, any sort of peppers, olives, bean sprouts, alfalfa, and pickles (I love them, personally)

I'm a pretty experienced cook, and love to try new things- which is why I didn't want to go the usual sandwhich route. Thanks!

Super cute! I have that same color nail polish, I love it ^.^

Those socks are absolutely adorable! I love that color blue.

Starting on Ramona and Sloanlaw's gifts today. Thankfully, I have the entire weekend off of stuff to do until Sunday (and I'll be too excited to sleep anyway. The bf is coming to visit for my birthday! Squee!) so, I'll have plenty of time to craft.

Hey everybody ^.^ Things are getting sort of crazy busy here (rush of crafty inspiration+plus supercondensed college classes+ 'You don't have a job so you won't mind helping me with ______ from the fam'= A frazzled me). But, I finished PhoenixFireDesign's stamps and sent them along yesterday, and I have a morning of craftyness so I can put the finishing touches on heini's gift before I get to research Wagner and dream of the lace I'm attempting to dye.

I can't wait for the BF to get here- he's a better sewer than I am, and he's going to teach me some embroidery stitches ^.^

What are you going to be a teacher of, Thomas Marrow?  I saw that you are taking a music class but I wasn't sure if that was your major of choice or not.

Hopefully, someday, I will teach fourth graders- but I have been having thoughts about high schoolers too. If I did teach high school, I'd probably teach English. I'm taking the music class because I have a background in music (in my mispent youth I auditioned to become a music major) and it seemed like an easy way to fill an arts requirement, as I can't draw to save my life  Roll Eyes

Hey everyone- sorry I haven't been as active as I should on the board- summer semester just started, and this music class is kicking my butt already- it's a short semester, so the prof. is shoving all of the class into 2/3 of the time, instead of, you know, picking and choosing the most important parts.

Enough excuses though- I just received from PhoenixFireDesigns! And boy is it pretty- my sister (who doesn't do anything really crafty) recognized it right away, and loves it too! (She's the fashionista of the family).

So, without further ado, a picture!

I adore it! And now, time to run to more classes- I will be a teacher. Or die after taking all these classes Smiley
