My son had to have a costume for our local Halloween Parade.  He was marching with the band.  Their half time show this year was centered around the theme song from "The Greatest Showman", so what else would he dress up as but a circus ringmaster? I bought a red blazer from Salvation Army and added black felt on the arms.  I added gold sequin trim around the arms and gold buttons.  I lined the lapel with gold cording.  He needs to wear this costume again, so I think I'm going to add black shoulders with gold fringe around them.  It took us about two hours to put this together, I thought it turned out pretty good.

Use a black leotard and black tights.  The cape can be made from black and yellow felt.  If you use felt or foam you can make the mask and other accessories without sewing.  I searched "batgirl diy" on pinterest and there are several good tutorials. Good luck!

Amazing!  I'm getting ready to redecorate two small bathrooms in our new home.  This gives me inspiration!  Great job!

This is my favorite kinds of scraping project to do because instead of being in a book it gets to hang on the wall where I can see it all the time.  I've always done these as gifts before, this is the first one I made for myself.  All the photos are in sepia tone.  Its embellished with stickers and all the photos are mounted on foam squares for a 3-D affect.

Thanks Leslie, I changed the needle and the bobbin. I also cleaned it too.  Still not working.  It is making the zig zag motion, but it doesn't catch the thread.

I almost have plaidpinapples angel package done.  I was working on the last little item and my sewing machine went crazy.  I'm going to my mom's to use her machine to finish.  I use a Kenmore machine from the 70s (was my grandmas).  Does anyone know why it would suddenly start skipping stitches while doing zigzag or satin stitch?  I have rethreaded and readjusted until I just don't know what else to try.  I'm so frustrated with it!
