Though I'm not officially in this swap, I was a receiver lingering from January!

I received a book + little art piece package from thanate.

First, the books - the lovely vintage New (for 1963) Vogue Sewing book - clothing sewing in detail (darts, pleats, sleeves, buttonholes - super useful). And another one called Customizing Cool Clothes, with some neat ideas for embellishments and such.

And then the little art, which is this embroidered patch/flag - with a hawk (or eagle? I can never tell my birds of prey apart), hot sun, and cactus landscape, plus dangling feather. I'm getting a First Nations vibe (or I guess I mean Native American).

Thanks thanate, I really enjoy this package!

I finally made it out to the mailbox and a lovely supply package from LadybugsAndBumblebees was waiting for me! She covered not only one item in my supply wishlist, but several!

Books! Two useful-looking jewellery making books (I'm always looking for more help with technique, and prefer books to videos, so these are great), and a big Book of Buttons (don't worry LAB, even though it's not technically a craft book I feel like it will be quite inspirational!)

Charms! My favourite has got to be that gumball machine with real little gumballs that move around. Very cool.

Buttons! Big and/or neat as I think was my request. We've got some cool shapes (monsters, speech bubbles, a mustache), plus some big and silvery ones

And some bonus - NYC postcard, bookmark from The Strand bookstore, sticky markers, and the card which was nicely illustrated

Thanks! Nice big beautiful package.

My package from ilovesnails arrived: I got a black & white hat, 2 milk chocolate bars, and in the lower left of the photo is the card:

Thank you!

Here's the card I sent to sammylouise40, which is Ghana themed! I lived there for a bit and wanted to do a representation of their traditional "kente cloth" weaving.

And... my package from Mistress Jennie arrived!

First, the books. Both are among the (er, thousands of) books on my Goodreads Want-To-Read list. We've got Deanna Raybourn's The Dead Travel Fast (yay! I've read her other series and loved them, and also love gothics, and this is her take on a Romania-set gothic - and it's not available at my library so I'm pumped to own it), and What Happens Under the Mistletoe, a festive historical romance anthology (yay again - Sabrina Jeffries is one of my top historical romance authors, and her story in here is the one I especially wanted to read it for)

And the other goodies: festive socks, some really good looking chocolate, and a nice beaded feather bookmark.

Thank you Mistress Jennie! Great choices and a lovely holiday package overall Cheesy

Two lovely additions to my "lady art" collection arrived from thanate - and they are stitched! So nice. Only 1 more empty space in that collection page now. Hmmm

Plus she included a couple tea-ephemera-poetry bonuses... and the stamps are also going into my ephemera container.

And my gift from Annchen has also come! She took my bat theme to make a mini batty portrait trio - and scientific named as well. We have Brachyphylla cavernarum, a fruit-eating bat from the Caribbean on the left, and Pipestrellus pygmaeus, a European bat in the centre!

Thanks Annchen, it's and nice & realistically bat-filled!

I got two packages! And I ripped into them 2 nights ago, set them out nicely for photos... and promptly forgot which pieces came from which package. Oh no!

In one package came this lovely ruby red hat (which, yes, is big enough to fit over my big hair bun! I can usually only wear headbands in store-bought hats, so it will be good to have a proper hat too).

In the other package came this nice big market bag - from my Craft Swap Wishlist board on my Pinterest. Looking forward to going to my farmer's market with this. It really is an ideal size for fruit & veg

And in some combination of the two packages (sorry Secret Santas...  Embarrassed), came this smaller items. We've got some ornaments, festive Kleenex, and vintage newspaper (and sure, we'll call 1972 vintage - the paper is yellowed so it works!  Wink). The paper is the only one I know who it came from, as I left the sticky note attached - thanks AIMR.

So thank you to both of my Santas! The packages were both great, and useful too.

I finally checked my mailbox on the weekend and two marvelous packages were waiting for me!

First, from the ever-so-industrious Bubbles (who really does seem to be just one very busy person, as I see some similarly crafted items in other packages).. Some nicely pieced festive fabric notecards

And some Super Mario mushrooms for the tree. The husband and I are both fans, and these are lovely (and festive with the red & green too).

Interestingly, "Bubbles" turns out to be a very close neighbour to me!   Grin

Next from another mysterious Santa, what's in the big leafy bag?

It's... a learn-to-crochet kit!

And my Santa noticed I had taken it off my list, but don't worry. It's still something I wanted (and something I've wanted to learn forever), I just had doubts about what it actually could be as a craft swap item. I thought to myself "What are they going to send me, just yarn?" But my Santa didn't have that problem and I got a nice big project bag, The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller (excellent - I've got Stitch N Bitch), hooks, stitch markers (had to look that up in the book), and - yes, yarn too.

Thank you to both of my Santas!

Yay! deadbathducky's package made it to me from Australia, and it was such a Halloween delight!

First we've got a little Halloween spider in its web - this will definitely make it into my new batch of annual Halloween decor (the spider is crochet [or knit?], which you can't entirely tell from my dark photo:

Next, a couple pieces of jewellery! A very nice scary Halloween wire-wrapped tree, like one I had on my wishlist, and a creatures of the sea bracelet. All in a seemingly handmade (?) box, with a stamped penny from the Melbourne Zoo! Now, that's a cool little extra because I'm pretty sure I've never mentioned I collect these, but I do!

And finally... the tricks AND treats. Some candy (including sugar free too, yay), a picture that changes from lady in red to... Grim Reaper!, some spooky felt stickers, and a gummy heart, all in a little trick or treat bag.

Thanks deadbathducky, it's been great swapping with you!
