I found some old curtains when going through an old box the other day. My brother and I had these curtains in our room when we where kids - I don't know what the characters are called in English though - maybe someone can help me out?

Edit: I don't know if the show was ever shown anywhere outside Europe, but it's a Dutch animation series called De Fabeltjes Krant in original.

4  Pants and skirts into skirts in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by a97annol on: January 26, 2009 02:37:06 AM
After loosing about 40 pounds I started liking wearing short skirts, but didn't have any money to buy so I rummaged through my closets and found some skirts and a pair of pants that I never used and this is the result:

Skirt #1 - reconstructed from the legs of mum's old cotton velveteen pants and added some details

Skirt #2 - cut off from a long skirt and added details from the original skirt #3

Skirt #3 - cut off from a mid calf long skirt

Skirt #4 - cut off from a long skirt

5  Knitting bag and tiny purse - my first two projects in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by a97annol on: January 26, 2009 02:25:28 AM
My first bag ever - oh well, I made one in kindergarten but other than that  Grin

I cut off the lower part of the leg of an old pair of corduroy pants and used the bottom hem as the top of the bag. The handle is just the bottom hem of the other leg, trimmed as close to the seam as possible.

And for Christmas I wanted something small to put my meds and other important small stuff in for our dinner at grandma's. I had the above bag with me so I made a small purse to put in it, using the top of a skirt. All I did was cut, sew together and put in a band for closure at the top - the "quilting" of the fabric was already there  Smiley

The size is about 3.5x3.5 inches

6  Felt credit card wallet - now with pics in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by a97annol on: January 25, 2009 11:55:47 AM
In need of something to put my most used cards in and with a lot of inspiration from this forum I got out my stuff and created a credit card wallet out of some felt I just found in my crafts stash.

It's my first project in felt since about kindergarten and I couldn't believe it was as much fun now as it was then  Grin

Here's the result - sorry for the lousy pics though
