1  Re: BBC Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by katpac on: July 24, 2013 12:55:20 PM
KimmyLynne didn't short me at all!

What an awesome TARDIS! It's going to school with me when the year starts. I'll keep my tea in it. The awesome bow tie cross stitch will go with me too since that's the only place my munchkin won't be able to steal them! (She already tried!)

She also sent a slinky jr. and a someecard tote and notepad. I'm not sure where she found the notepad and tote but they are awesome.

Very cool! Thank you so much!

My MIA weeping angel finally made an appearance! I thought my daughter was stealing it and hiding it since I kept running into it in odd places. But it turns out my husband was the culprit! I caught him hiding it on my nightstand today.

So there are my three lovelies from Deathbeforedishes! She also threw in a ton of TARDIS blue candies, some cool London art cards, and two Doctor Who buttons I've been wearing everywhere.

It's like Christmas here, Plaidpineapple sent me a huge supply pack. There's glitter, micro beads, mica powders, embroidery thread, and a big striped stamp.  I'm going to have to revamp my supply list! She also sent along a great paper craft N for Nell's wall.

I'm going to post a picture of the wall over in the discussion thread so you can see all the fabulous N's together.

Underthemountain sent an amazing package! I love the penny necklace so much I had to wear it to stations of the cross on Friday night. She sent too many stamps! I pulled a few of my favorites out. Roxanne, you rock!

More N's for the little one's wall!

I'm going put the twig N in a glass-less frame so it stands out. I'm kind of jealous Nell got a tiny hoopla! She's just lucky my name doesn't start with the same letter!

My package arrived in the middle of our blizzard!

Texscrapper sent a gorgeous sparkly N for the little one's wall! She actually said, "ooooo, sparkly!" And some great beads and machine  embroidery thread. That thread will come in handy. I'm about to start a quilt for my friend who's having a baby in August.
Here's a close up of the cool rhinestone details on the N.

Thank you! It's awesome!

9  Jungle Mirror in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by katpac on: January 15, 2013 05:56:09 AM
I think covering mirrors is my new favorite thing!
This is a 7" mirror I picked up in the candle section of Michael's.  I scraped off the little non-skid feet things before covering it in clay.

There are a ton of beads and stones embedded in the mirror.  Howlite, imperial jasper, crackled amber glass, peridot chips, glass bugle beads, metal filigree leaves, glass teardrops, dyed shell sticks, and glass lamp work beads.

Sorry about the collage picture.  I would have liked to upload a few larger detail pictures but I'm having trouble posting with multiple pictures from my iPad.

10  Polymer Clay Red Stroppel Cane Jewelry Set in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by katpac on: January 02, 2013 10:31:12 AM
I love Stroppel canes.  It's such a great way to save all the pieces of polymer clay that would just get tossed into the scrap pile.

The pendant is strung on black leather.

I love the way the earrings came out.

The bracelet is nice and thick and feels substantial without being heavy.

They're all glazed to a high shine.  Looks great in person but it's really hard to take pictures of.
