5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Buttons! LOTS of Pictures!!! on: January 19, 2008 01:40:17 PM
OK, this might be a lame question and I reailze this is an old thread, but I would really appreciate some tips on how to take pictures of buttons/badges.  Mine always catch a glare and if I take away the flash and other light, then the pics are too dark to see.  I'd love to post some of my creations on my website and craftster, but I have never has any luck!

Anyone??  Thanks!

I scanned mine. I was having trouble taking pictures without a glare as well. Scanning helps a little, but I don't think it shows the color very well sometimes.

All of these are absolutely amazing. I just got the same button maker and these have motivated me to make many buttons!
i have the hardest time with my badge a minit---i work so hard making hand drawn designs then the plastic doest catch all the way around and so it hangs off the side a bit---i cant sell them and when i wear them eventually the plastic comes off--any tips
i used to have that problem too. but now i push the plastic in before i put the back piece on.
I'm having that problem a lot. Could you explain a little on what you mean by pushing the plastic in? Smiley

ok. umm...well you know how you put the picture and plastic on and then put the silver peice with out the pin on it and then smush it down. after you smush it take off the piece of the button maker that is on the back. then push the plastic peice and the picture over on top of the silver part of the button. then put the back of the button (the part with the pin on it) on and make sure it covers all of the plastic and picture.

not sure how much sense that makes. good luck.

This tutorial was incredible... so well explained, so not as hard as i imagined it would be (i am generally a challenged sewer)
I had to give it a go... and here's what we got for my best friend:

*apologies for the horrible picture quality... my digi is getting fixed.*
So it's actually a really nice black and white print, and the inside is hot pink with light pink dots... it's so much prettier in real life!
thanks again sooooo much for the tutorial  Grin

it looks great! nice job and thanks for the compliments!
