1  Re: Yet Another TM Patch Swap R9 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by crafty-becky on: June 30, 2017 04:32:02 PM
quaggy: Thank you SOOO much for all the wonderful things you sent me! It was like my birthday or Christmas! Smiley

In the mail was a big box & I knew it was my patches and patch kit because of the return address. But why such a big box I wondered. I opened the box and saw this:

First there was a note and then THE PATCHES! I had put that I liked flowers, owls and fat birds on my ques. (to name a few)
So the first 2 patches:

I love them, they are so pretty and colorful!

Then she took my fat bird idea and went a different way....lol  (I like them too...made me giggle!) Here they are, I hope everyone can see what they say.

,

The patch kit contained the following goodies!
Five fabrics and floss and floss holders.

Also, buttons and beads in the plastic containers, more buttons in the bag shaped like skulls, butterflies, houses and bicycles. The scissors & tape measure. memory thread, & some beading and easy to thread needles. I tried out one of those and I love it!

Thanks again quaggy! I was so excited, I showed it to my husband, son, took it to lunch to show my Mom, showed it to a friend and then my daughter...lol

I received my patches from jenleahlynn on Friday!! It was so exciting to get my first ever swap package! And I love them!

First is this cat patch for my theme of cats. Very colorful!

Then this cross-stitched one for my sewing theme. I love the button and the scissors!

And this neat owl because I like owls! She said she did this one as she went along! I think if I tried that I'd end up with some very odd looking creature!

She also sent me this kit of 3 fabrics, some floss and pretty amber beads. Smiley

Thanks again, jenleahlynn!

4  My 50th Birthday Morale Building T-shirt-Now with action shot! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by crafty-becky on: December 10, 2008 09:14:59 PM
I found the white T at a Salvation Army store. Just what I needed! But, it was too small. I had an idea of what I wanted to do so I cut off a bit on the bottom of the white shirt & added bands from a tie-dyed shirt. Then more strips down the sides. Used the sleeves from the tie-dyed T & the neckband as well. Ta-Da!...my first recon! I was proud to wear it bowling the evening of my birthday! Smiley
What do you all think?

Me wearing my shirt!  Smiley
