1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Bookmark Swap Gallery on: January 19, 2009 09:56:38 AM
Received bookmarks from 2 swappers!  1st one from Cory Barton:
It was broke  Shocked Bummer!  However I plan on finishing the edge on the large piece for my book mark and the top piece will hang on my rear view mirror!  The symbols shown are Triple Moon Goddess, the caduceus, a medicine wheel and on the back the symbol for alchemy, an ankh, and the eye of Horus.  I'm inspired!

I love the triple moon sign!  Very nice crackle effect, the pictures do no justice. Thank you!

Ack!  Kid's fingers are everywhere.

2nd one is from Harvey, a lovely embroidered piece.  It's a coffee molecule!  Bordered by a quote from Star Trek Voyager: Coffee, the finest organic suspension ever devised!  --I agree and thank you for such fine craftswomanship.

By the way, the colors are maroon lettering with a tan and teal molecule and the backing is matching tan felt.

Received 2 bookmarks from GiddyupMunky today.  They're gorgeous.

1st one is a coffee and creamer thong:

I'm taking that one to church in my bible to insight envy among the church ladies

2nd one is from an anime tarot card set, auspiciously of the sword royals:

Above is the front, showing the king and queen of swords
Below is the back, showing the prince and princess of swords

The pictures don't do much justice.

Got mine from Smarrt today!

Here's a shot of the front:

Here's a shot of the backs:

the quotes read:
Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed and digested.
Francis Bacon (1561-1626)
It is inhumane, in my opinion, to force people who have a genuine medical need for coffee to wait in line behind people who apparently view it as some kind of recreational activity
-Dave Barry

Here's an action shot of me ready to drink coffee and bookmark the page I keep trying to read but the kids keep interrupting and then I have to go and reheat the coffee again.

I really like the embossed paper.  Pretty!

Hi!  Here's a completed project from a free pattern posted on lionbrand.com .  I made this for my cousin's engagement party.  It was so easy to make (my first amirugumi but I'm can crochet well enough).
Here's a link to the pattern:
