I got my package from psyche! *does a little happydance*
With zebra print packing tape, nonetheless. Psyche tapes with style!

here's all the goodies at once:

psyche used her magic powers to divine that sewing scares me, so she sewed all kinds of textiley goodness for me. first up, the octopants purse:

made from corduroy pants and pj bottoms. a bit hard to see, but it has supersoft paisley lining and the most adorable octopus applique ever.

next are market bags, which i shamelessly hinted that i wanted. beg and ye shall receive:

I *love* the pink bag - it was a shirt in its past life, and she left the buttons and other little details on it. the gray bag is plain, which is perfect because i just bought a brand new roll of freezer paper that needs to be used for some stenciling. I should be looking for a new job today, but crafting is way more fun.

last up are cute zipper pouches and a cocktail hat:

the cocktail hat is a papier mache base with a cherry print fabric (sweet!) and a little fall of tulle to waft ever so elegantly in the breeze. sorry, no action shots - i just got back from a run, and i don't look anything even close to elegant. i just wouldn't do the hat justice.
the pouches are not only cute but useful - a girl can never have enough pouches! the skull print is colorful goth, and the blue one has a bright green zipper that you can't see in the picture. that's screaming for some stenciling, too. maybe i'm just overly excited about freezer paper....

psyche, thank you so much! i love everything, you are just plain ol' fabulous!

Here is teeisme's adorable 'b is for bathing + beauties' (getta load of those gams!):

Kish: sorry about those nonpareils! I had a feeling they wouldn't make it, but I just couldn't resist their cuteness...

antidisestablishmentarianism is a wonderful word, love it!

teeisme, i don't have a pic of just the b card, but i've got one of all three. i'll post it, but it's a little small for good detail....

15  atc goodness! in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by goodnorevil on: April 08, 2008 07:22:01 PM
I made these atc's for the abc atc swap. They're all very different styles because I tried to make them to my three different partners' tastes. Hopefully that worked out!

Um, these are the very first atc's I've ever made, so don't say anything bad.  Grin

this was, obviously, the a-c swap. "A's are sexy" (because all the teeny a's were cut out from a frederick's of hollywood lingerie catalogue, they kind of look like polka dots, but take my word for it, they're teeny little a's that took forever to cut out) "b is for butterfly" and "c is for cupcake".

ok, bye!

and here is kishcrafts' lovely 'a' card - umm, it's obviously not blurry IRL but my scanner is not equipped to deal with the extreme 3Dness of the avocado.

Thanks so much Kishna!

17  women ought to rule the world.... in Completed Projects by goodnorevil on: April 04, 2008 02:02:27 AM
barack seems like a great guy, but i've been a hillary fan since I was 8 years old. anyhow, I've seen a couple pieces of political craftiness, and thought I should share my own. this is my handmade campaign button, handsewn with a double layer of felt, a heart applique, and some simply messy embroidery. I've gotten several requests to make more, but school eats all my free time....

eta: everyone should make buttons! maybe not hillary buttons, but any kind. we get a vote, we should use it! my next button is going to be a generic 'VOTE' button with no specific candidate. the handmade cutie pie buttons really catch people's attention, and I've had tons of people talk to me while I was wearing it. it's a great way to get people interested in this election.

bye again!
