41  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / My New Grey Beret on: April 29, 2009 02:45:31 PM
The last grey beret that I knitted ended up being too small for me.  So I did a giveaway on my blog and it went to a lady in Melbourne.  Then I set about starting myself a new one.  I bought 3 balls of Moda Vera Shiver in colour 24 and I made myself this one.  The pattern is from a knitting book I bought from Spotlight.  It is called Spotlights Essential Knitting or something like that.

I didn't sew the middle up tight enough so there is a bit of a whole.  I still need to fix that.  Any comments and/or criticism would be greatly appreciated.
42  COOKING / Dessert / Swimming Pool Birthday Cake on: March 18, 2009 03:00:26 AM
I made this cake a couple of years ago for my boyfriend's birthday. It was the first time I made a cake that wasn't just round and iced.

It is such a cool cake but the minute you cut it all the jelly spills out everywhere. It is more a visual cake than practical cake.

Oh well it still looks good.

43  COOKING / Dessert / 1st Birthday Chocolate Mudcake on: March 12, 2009 03:20:45 AM
This week was my boyfriend's nephew's 1st birthday.  His mum was going to buy him a cake but I told her not to worry about it and I would make one.  You can't have a store bought cake for your 1st birthday!  I kept it pretty basic because I was trying to make it around uni.  I made the cake in the morning before uni and then in the afternoon I decorated just before we went over to their house for dinner.

It is a chocolate mudcake recipe from the Women's Weekly Bake Cookbook that my sister bought me for my 21st.  I decorated it with mint flavoured m'n'ms.  I hope you like it!

Here is the cake:

44  COOKING / Dessert / Rainbow Vanilla Cupcakes on: March 03, 2009 01:06:42 AM
I had seen all the rainbow cakes and cupcakes around Craftster and thought "what they heck".  So yesterday when I was making cupcakes I took the only three food colourings that we had in our cupboard and decided I would give it a go.  I would really like to make a proper sized cake and use a few more colours so that I can make one more colourful.

I hope you like them!
45  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Christmas Apron on: December 18, 2008 03:49:36 AM
This is not exactly clothing but I could not find anywhere else to post it.  I made the first apron for a swap that I participated in recently called the Sassy Apron Swap.  The theme of the swap was for a christmas themed apron.

I made another apron later which is basically exactly the same for myself. I can't wait for next christmas to be able to wear it.

I hope you like them.  Any comments - good or bad - are muchly appreciated.
46  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Grey Floppy Knitted Beret on: December 18, 2008 03:31:00 AM
This is another beret that I made just recently.  The pattern was from the Spotlight Winter 2008 Knitting book.  It is a pattern knitted on straight 6.5mm needles.  There is a 8 row rib around the edge and then the rest of the beret is detailed with a diagonal rib.

I hope you like it as much as I do.  Any comments - good or bad - will be much appreciated.
47  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Pink Grease Style Circle Skirt on: December 18, 2008 03:22:26 AM
For my 21st this year I had a Grease themed party.  Grease is one of my all time favourite movies and I had to have it as the theme for my 21st party.  It was such an awesome party.  Every single person that was invited dressed up and they put a lot of effort into it to.

This is the skirt that I made for my costume.  It was pink and had a felt black cat on the bottom side.  There was a black tulle skirt underneath to make it puffy but i did not get any photos of it.

I hope you like it.  Any comments - good or bad - are appreciated.  Thanks.
48  COOKING / Dessert / Poodle Cake on: December 18, 2008 03:17:41 AM
This is the cake my mum made for my actual party for my 21st.  It is out of the womens weekly birthday cake book.  I love it.  I hope you like it.

49  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / My Favourite Floppy Beret on: December 18, 2008 03:10:08 AM
This beret I knitted quite a while ago but I wanted to share it anyway.  It is my most favourite beret ever.  It is the first one I ever knitted and I just love the fit so so much.  I hope you guys like it as much as me.

50  COOKING / Dessert / Pink Present Birthday Cake on: December 18, 2008 03:01:44 AM
I absolutely love this cake.  I can not take the credit for making it but I love it so much I think it deserves to be shared with you all.  This is the cake that my mum made me for my birthday dinner at home (I had one cake for family dinner night and one cake for my actual party because my party was a different night to my birthday).

Its a basic cake that even a beginner could make but it just looks so elegant.  I hope you like it as much as I do.
