2  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Decoupaging candles and trying to find a sealant! on: April 09, 2011 12:03:44 PM
Howdy boys and girls! I'm decoupaging some candles (you know, the ones that burn for about 24 hours and usually have Jesus on them?) I'm having a really hard time finding a sealant that I can use. Any suggestions? Sealant needs to be:

Heat resistant
Non-flammable (when dry)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I just posted a new thread about starting a little crafting group that meets weekly if either of you ladies are interested. Smiley

There's a Fanny's fabric store on South Lamar in the shopping center with the Alamo Drafthouse and I think there's another fabric store further down South Lamar by Oltorf.

I've been thinking it would be really cool to start a little crafting group that meets once weekly!

The members of the group would each take it in turns to host the group at their home, and the hosting member would make sure that everyone was informed of what the project they will be doing is and what materials are needed. Refreshments will be served, music will be played, and it's a great chance to meet some other craftsters and learn lots of new things to do and make!

Please let me know if you're interested. You can message me here or Facebook stalk me about it, my e-mail address is tattooedtriumph@gmail.com so you can find me with that. I will probably start it once I have about 5 or 6 people interested, so let me know!

7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / I need a place for my record player! on: February 28, 2008 03:11:05 PM
I have an entertainment center from IKEA (heaven bless those people) that holds my stereo system. A few days ago I bought a record player and put it into one of the slots in my entertainment center. The only problem is that the shelves are a little close together so I had to take off the top of my record player to fit it in there, and it's a little awkward trying to slide the record in and get it on the peg.

I really want to have the top shelf slide out (kind of like a keyboard shelf on a desk), but I'm worried about how I would go about doing that because of the way IKEA makes their furniture. I don't want to split my entertainment center or anything. Does anyone have an suggestions?

It's just a black slip with "Id" "Ego" and "Superego" written on it. Smiley Get it?
