Be prepared for lots of pictures, because there is a lot to see in this Sea Serpent ship I received from StudioANF. This ship is big and full of assembled goodness. This is what I came home to on my stoop.

Here is the full view of the ship. I am not sure how the body is constructed but it looks to be stiffened paper or fabric covered in "scales" made from maps.

It is guided by two golden, sparking fish. They are covered in gold scales with small crystals and stiffened lace fins and tails (I love these fish!).

The eyes are most amazing. She made wire bezels to hold the jewel eyes in place over two tiers of gears. I love the steampunk look of them.

Here is a view of the inside. A very cool gold, wood grain texture for the deck. And, individually floss-wrapped masts holding paper sails. Each in sea-worthy colors. I love the fan shaped sail.

You can see the detail of the ship's map scales here. They really evoke motion.

And here is one more full view to enjoy. (Sorry, I can't get some of the pics to post correctly.)

It is "rigged" to hang as well as stand, so I plan to hang it in my craft room. It's lovely, StudioANF, thank you so much for swapping with me and making me something so awesome.

2  Re: Yet Another TM Patch Swap R2- Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by Craftsunderground on: August 31, 2014 07:37:25 AM
I just got Sharalee's wonderful package released from my mailbox where it has been held captive. We lost our mailbox key, had to request replacements and a new lock, went away for a few days, and just picked up the new keys in the nick of time before the PO closed. The patches are wonderfully whimsical and the kit supplies are already inspiring me to new patches of my own.
Steampunk theme: isn't he wonderful?

Tony House theme: I just love the colors and textures in this one. Can't wait to add it to my TM tote bag.

Beautifully matched fabrics for three TM patches.

Lots of fun embellishments in happy colors:

And a batik FQ. I don't have much batik fabric but I just discovered how much I love it, so I am happy to add some to my stash. This may make the perfect lining for  my TM tote bag.  Cheesy

Thanks for being my partner Sharalee and for your imaginative patches.

I received another package of cuteness, this time from Happylittleclam. She claimed me for knitted puffy owls and sent me a whole family. Here's a side view so that you can see their puffiness.

Here is the little one already hanging in my office.

Here are the other two (they are a bit bigger) together. They are charming winter ornaments and I love the colors she chose.

Thanks for claiming me and thanks for these happy little owls.

I received the cutest valentine pin cushion in a vintage tart pan and a scissor fob from Gamemom42. Thanks so much for choosing such cute items and for the trouble you went to to find a vintage tart pan. (I wondered what you were looking for.) That little scissor fob is so precious. I just love the tiny buttons.

Thank you for claiming me.

I received three sets of boot cuffs for my daughter from NisforNeville. I gave them to her yesterday and she was just delighted. Since we had a big ice storm this morning, I am sure she has already worn a pair today. The colors are perfect and you spoiled us by making three pairs. Each one is in a different pattern too.
Thanks for claiming me and my daughter thanks you too. I asked her to send me an action picture and will post it later.

Be it known, Cmarion3 is a spoiler. And, that suits me just fine.
After sending her lovely top hat ornament, she surprised me by sending a beautiful cuff. I love the combination of colors, textures, and patterns--perfect placement of the silver teeth against the very Steampunk stripe. The stripes are painted in an almost-not-there silver that keeps me checking to see if it is another layer of the silver organza fabric used in the ruffle. I count seven types of laces, ribbon, and fabric, not including the buttons and gears. Beautiful work, Cmarion3, thank you.

Very interesting ornament, hgddm. I love it.

I received a beautiful tree topper for my table-top Steampunk tree from Whenindoubtsew. I just love it any it fits the tree perfectly. She also sent a second ornament, a star cookie cutter and some chocolate Santa candies. My photos don't do it justice, believe me.

Here's a side view so you can see its depth.

I received a dapper, little top hat ornament from CMarion3 and a little hat box too. My  photos don't do it justice. The hat has such great detail, tiny playing cards, feathers, and gears. The hat box is covered in Steampunky stripes and has a cord handle that is just like the life-size ones. These both look great on my Steampunk tree. CMarion3 even included an ornament hanger.
Thanks so much; I just love them both.

9  Re: MINI 12 Days Of Christmas Swap 2013 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Craftsunderground on: December 01, 2013 01:39:51 PM
This seems like a cozy spot for me. I stake my claim.
First, I should mention that Lunanne used my favorite wrapping paper for many of the packages, brown paper. She couldn't have known, but I love brown paper packages and cardboard boxes  Cheesy

Day 1: Received a lovely little notebook with a bird pattern cover. I love birds and this will fit so nicely in my purse. She also made an owl bookmark with red beads. This must have taken a long time to make. I love them both.

Day 2: Lunanne made me some wonderful note cards and Christmas cards. They are stamped inside and on the envelopes. How cute! I really needed note cards and these Christmas cards will go to only very special people. I can't wait until tomorrow!

Day 3--Two, yes two, amazing hot air balloon ornaments for my Steampunk Tree. The beading is so complex that I can't believe she made me two. Just look at how the baskets are constructed.

Day 4--A lovely kit to make a pendant. I am looking forward to learning this technique and to wearing it of course  Cheesy

Day 5--I love this holiday mix, all tucked into this cute Santa bag--an apron and some very cute and soft socks for Christmas morning, stickers, tiny decorated clothespins that I will use for hanging my Christmas cards, and chocolate treats--turtles are my favorites.

Day 6 --spherical paper ball ornaments. I don't know whether to place these on my regular tee or my Steampunk tree, maybe both, after all she sent me six in a cute storage box.

Day 7--An adorable button Christmas tree. I love buttons (who doesn't) and especially red ones. This will go so well with several items I received last year in a stocking swap (but maybe Lunanne already knew that  Wink ) It has a very cheerful, vintage look.

Day 8--a very special gift. A hand-made journal/sketchbook with coovepic lacing (is that right?) I just love it. It is beautifully made and I will sketch my swap projects in it. Thank you so much. It is lovely.

Day 9--an adorable tiny house garland. I have loads of tiny houses on my Pinterest, so this is definitely "me". The houses are embroidered and have tiny loops attached with buttons on each side. I tried to show this in the picture. I am going to try this technique on some ornaments. It looks lovely. Also, the ornaments are tied on to the garland, so they can be untied and hung individually.

Day 10--an amazing assortment of jewelry in my favorite color. Lunanne, you are definitely  a skilled jewelry maker. These pieces are lovely and I can well imagine how long they took to make.
This Steampunk inspired necklace and earrings are beautifyl. I love how the charms cascade. I put them on instantly.

Here is a bracelet and earrings set that will go with several jackets and blouses. As I said, this is my favorite color.

Another very pretty bracelet and earrings set, along with some cute, pink key earrings.

This is a fabulous necklace and earrings set! It is so beautiful and I have never seen anything like it. Again, I LOVE the color and the shape. I think this one is my favorite.

Here is a group shot of all the lovely pieces. I will have new jewelry to wear for days!

What a fabulous package, Lunanne. Thank you.

Day 11--A lushius, cranberry scarf and hat. I just got my hair cut short and a warm snuggly hat and scarf are just what I need. It is very soft and warm and I love the color against my black coat.

Day 12--my computer has been inoperable, but my son fixed it, so I am finally able to post pictures. Lunanne's 12th day package is overwhelming. She chose a fabulous indigo fabric to craft me a crochet hook/knitting needle roll and THREE lined, zippered bags. Better yet, each bag is loaded with crafting supplies. She also included some lovely scrapbooking embellishments.

Group shot--I just love the fabric, and the metal teeth on the zippers go great with it.

Needle Roll

Fist bag--loaded with fun supplies. Big wooden spools (I have a craft in mind for these already), Washi tape (my first roll), plastic tags and sharpies to mark your yarn (these, I desperately need), and there were also some stitch markers that have already made their way into my knitting kit, and a packet of Canadian stamps. I was delighted to find the stamps. I have been saving up stamps for a decoupage project and these will add some international flavor.

Second bag--embroidery floss--perfect for my Teesha Moore patch obsession and some little bottles that will be so perfect for my Steampunk projects.

Third bag--Bountious bags of beautious beads! So many bags of beads, from black and white, to earth tones, to hot pink, and a font of fabulous findings. I will be able to stay at home and shop from my stash for so many items from bracelets, to earrings, to rings, and necklaces. I can't wait to get crafting with these.

Thank you so much Lunanne for such thoughtful, beautifully crafted gifts. I am amazed at the variety of crafts you did for me--sewing, jewelry making, crocheting, paper crafts, and bookbinding!

I received a lovely thank-you gift from Lo{ve}. i sent her a box of embroidery and cross stitch supplies and she made me some beautiful coasters. She stalked my Pinterest to see that I love birds and chose the prettiest fabric. I don't know how they are made. They are not patchwork. Each square is a little open pocket. I will really enjoy using these and I needed coasters. I recently bought some stone coasters but my husband says putting his cup on one of them is like trying to land a helicopter on the roof of a small building. He will be greatly relived  Cheesy,

Thank you and I hope you enjoy the supplies.
