The spine on this is gorgeous. I love how you have bound it all together and all the beads..... Grin

Oh WOW!  Shocked  Shocked  Shocked

Its absolutely gorgeous and it certainly looks good on the catwalk. Do you have any recommendations for patterns or resources, because making a corset is something I've always wanted to try.

Also, is the catwalk at the Birmingham NEC fashion, ebroidery and stitch by any chance?
23  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects / Re: Yarn Bowls and Mugs and Pots, Oh My! on: September 09, 2013 10:24:49 AM
Oh wow, they are all gorgeous! I like the winter tree one the best but only by a wee bit. They are all lovely.
24  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Shop the Swap Winter Market-Discussion Thread! on: December 01, 2012 08:18:49 AM
This was my first time doing STS and although I actually participated very little (nervous about spending points I think) and RL got in the way of making things I did enjoy this swap a lot. I'm not sure if I will join in the Spring round as I will have just got back from traveling for two months and be starting a new job so it might be a little bit busy but I like the idea of having time to build up on stock. Basically, I will definitely join in again, hopefully when life is a little less busy (although I might just give spring a whirl anyhow) and when I can put into practice the photography tips everyone was giving me (me and my brother are planning to put together a light box).

Oh gosh, I wish I could do this so much. I've always thought prayer flags are incredibly beautiful and I'm [planning to make some for my mums 50th in january. However I'm going off travelling so I'm really not going to have time to do this Sad Maybe next round!
26  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Dotee Swap #13 Send out 11/30/12 on: November 29, 2012 10:45:37 AM
Gosh - I can't believe Send Outs are tomorrow! Time has flown. I've nearly finished my second dotee and have one more to do so I'm going to be crafting to the wire. I'm not actually worried though that I won't be able to send tomorrow.

Hope everyone elses dotees are finishing off well. Loving the gallery so far as well.

I have also received a lovely dotee from Dr. Craft. She combined my themes of growing, autumn and fantasy in a really creative way. Apparently this is also her first try at solid beading - I wouldn't have guessed it!

Thank you so much Dr. Craft Smiley
29  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Zine swap Gallery! on: November 25, 2012 08:12:22 AM
Well. I've now received all four of my zines. I arrived back home after a trip away to find three waiting for me. I've had a flick through them all and I look forward to reading them properly.

The first zine I received was the lovely one by Yoopidu about Hawaii. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it when I was taking all the pictures but I really enjoyed all the pages about kayaking - it really feels like a completely different world for me. I also thought that the mix of type and hand written bits worked very well. It is especially relevant as I have a flight booked for the USA on the 12th December and I'm going to go travelling. Even if I don't make it to Hawaii, this certainly whetted my travelling appetite. Again, a massive apologies for not putting pictures here, as soon as I find the zine I will edit to add pictures.

I received the zine Pug Love from lancmaltby. I really like the card you used on the zine and the very high quality printing. I can definitely see this as a very good coffee table zine to add a little bit of interest. It has a very whimsical feel.

I received the zine Brain Snippets from rougeraven. I haven't had a proper chance to read it but it looks very relevant to my life as I am finding myself in need of focusing more on my creative side (I lose too much time to that frenemy the internet!) I really like bird/godies insert, it added a lot of interest to the zine.

The final zine I have to share with you today is Stuf to do... by goddessgarb. THe suggestions that I've flicked through look really fun and I like the use of diferent type settings and the hand drawings. I think that this might end up in my hand bag for whenever I need a little bit of inspiration.

Thank you to RougeRaven for organising this fantastic swap, to all the people I've received from for the fantastic zines and for all the people I sent to for being so patient with my late sending.

Still haven't started with my dotees as I didn't have time to make up little craft bags but I'm not panicking yet (I'm gap yearing!). I've just found out I have a university interview the week after next so making the dotees will be nice breathers in between doing a ton of extra reading etc. to prepare.
