11  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Hugs and Kisses Baby Socks on: July 09, 2009 06:07:56 AM
They DO stand up on their own! It must have something to do with the construction because I used different yarn than the original pattern.

I just made these for a co-worker who is expecting her first baby next month. The pattern is from Interweave Knits, but is also available for free on the Knitting Daily website. The yarn is Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino, which is soft and machine washable, but annoyingly splitty. It was a fun project! There are more details on my blog.

I love that! It makes me happy just looking at it Smiley

Beautiful! And what a great way to have a Noro sweater without paying hundreds of dollars. The color combination is fantastic. I love your thumb hole too Smiley

Thanks, everyone! It was fun to make even though it was rather time-consuming. I think it was worth it though - I see myself wearing this sweater a lot!

I love these so much. I want to eat them. I'm going to go queue them on Ravelry now!
17  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Marseilles Pullover on: May 10, 2009 05:22:45 PM

I feel like I've been working on this forever! My goal was actually to be able to wear it during the winter, but it's a little late for that. I'll pack it away and be surprised to have a new sweater next fall  Smiley

The pattern is from Interweave Knits Summer 2006 issue (because I am nothing if not current!) and I used Cascade 220 yarn, which I really love. I got it at Webs for 20% which I also love! I have some more notes about this project on my blog.

Thanks everyone! I was afraid that it would be boring, but it went too fast for me to get bored.

Atsuko, I was just thinking about the Blythe swaps the other day! I haven't knit any Blythe items in a while. It might be time Smiley

I love that! It came out so well!
20  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Cozy V-Neck Pullover with Deep Ribbing on: December 09, 2008 07:48:40 AM

This was a quick knit and is my new favorite sweater! The pattern is from Fitted Knits by Stefanie Japel, and I used the recommend yarn, Cascade Pastaza, which is wonderfully soft and comfy. The only thing I did differently from the pattern is that I knit the sleeves in the round rather than flat (no seams!) The top down construction was super quick! I'm seriously considering making another one. There are more pics and info on my blog.
