1  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Craftster Itself / delete groups of posts on: December 01, 2009 05:31:33 PM
is there any way to deleted large groups of posts (my own) instead of one by one? i have matured a lot since i first joined, and hate what i posted back then..i guess you would think no one would care, but when doing a search for something, i come across these often.. also, i am trying to clean up my profile-topics-posts

3  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / I know cats like boxes, but spots? on: October 23, 2009 03:58:56 PM
this is spot:

he's part parrot, dog, cat, monkey, goat, cow, human and zebra
now, i know cats like boxes very much, but do certain dogs named spot?

(then again he is part cat)
ever since he was a little puppy, spot loved being squished up-or as i call it "the transformation from spot to.... SUPER FLUFFBALL (to the rescue)
eventually he learned the word "in" if he senses we are going somewhere, he'll prance into his room without any instruction, but if we say in, he'll run into his room and in his cage, his tail wagging happily.
In also means to go into anything, and if you point at a box and say in, he'll jump in, no matter what. he attempted to jump int a tiny shoebox, and wouldn't let anything stop him so the box broke.. he even tried to jump into a flowerpot once. Just a day ago, my brother had the laundry basket for taking clean clothes upstairs quite full, and he said in to spot as a joke, and spot bounced into the basket, not minding a thing..

anyhoo..i was at home Tuesday, sick, and we had several boxes left over from the slow cooker we won for free and the new microwave (ermm.. the old one suddenly died, while making lunch..) so i made spot a castle because spot loves boxes.. now, the odd thing, is that he realized that he had a door thingy right away, i though that i would need to teach him to go through the passage instad of jumping in from the top like he usually does
in these photos it has a flap on the door that i removed yesterday due to it annoying him.. (also he doesn't chew on the box, which is weird cuz he loves cardboard!)

he sat there the whole time waiting for me to finish

see? he knows to come in that way!

it has an adjustable roof cuz while he lays there someone usually opens the roof and pets him

C&C welcome

6  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / gummy bears are secretly murderous (don't worry, not scary!) on: September 04, 2009 03:24:00 PM
some pictures i took yesterday.... first time with the black photo fabric thing, hard to focus on it! i was playing with the spotlight and focus. i used a board as the floor, and a free really strong flashlight for the spotlight.
enjoy! (c&c welcome)

these show the common war between popular foods: skittles vs. gummy bears
same photo, different colors, angles and focus
all called Smashed!

^ my brother really likes that one, because of the colors and rule of thirds-he takes photography Wink

and this is what happens 5 seconds after the photo:

and my favorite one in the series:

ok, enough of the mushy stuff, attack!

something went wrong...

9  CANADA / British Columbia / felting supplies in RICHMOND/VANCOUVER RESOLVED THANKS!!! on: August 27, 2009 09:25:23 PM
i recently got into felting and only have the roving/needles i bought in the us so i was wondering, does anyone know any shops to buy roving? i think maybe that craft shop in steveston (near the dock/ tourist area) might have some, walmart had small amounts a while back but not anymore

so can you help?

10  FIBER ARTS / Weaving: Discussion and Questions / make a 1234 loom? on: August 11, 2009 03:07:35 PM
so at my weaving class, they have these medium sized looms, that have these little levers, with the numbers 1234 on them, when you press a number(s) the strings (warped) rearrange, and the fasten the fabric or yarn.. then there's this mesh wire thing used to tighten (squish) together the yarn or fabric, and there's like a roll, so that you can make your item as long or shot as you like,

so i was wondering, does anyone have a simplified pattern of that?

or any loom for that matter, i already am currently making a frame loom so i want some others?
