She was so surprised.
I'm so glad I made it for her.
2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Completed gifts on: December 07, 2009 07:12:28 AM

Completed my first Christmas 2009 gift - Quilt for my Maw
It took me six hours to make, start to finish. I'm so proud.
Anyone else have any completed project photos to share?
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Re: Throw Pillow Tutorial on: November 20, 2009 06:44:42 PM
Thanks so much for this tutorial. I made this throw pillow cover tonight for a 14x14 pillow, and it fits perfectly. Pictures to follow.
4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / Re: 10 points for spotting the crucial error... on: November 12, 2009 02:03:08 PM
I did that just the other night. But my carving technique was not nearly as impressive. Bravo.

Way cooler than a Snuggie. Good job.
7  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: what if anything can be done with this? on: November 09, 2009 01:03:24 PM
My first thought was Ferris Wheel, but honestly, it is kinda cool just as it is. If I owned it, I would try to secure it where it would stand up and place it on top of my book shelf.
I too am jealous of your find.
8  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Vampire Christmas Ornamant on: November 07, 2009 08:04:05 PM

If your into vampires, you might dig this. This is a red felt vampire mouth Christmas ornament that I made this in honor of my friend who writes paranormal romance novels.
Only red felt and cotton embroidery thread. Stitched totally with a back stitch.
Took me about three hours to knock out this morning.
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Newsboy or rasta hat pattern on: August 08, 2007 04:34:35 PM
I got Saturday Night Hat for Christmas this year and I love it. I have made two berets and an engineer's hat. I wore them all winter and plan to wear them this fall. The book is really easy to follow, but some of the materials are specific for hat-making and are not available at Hobby Lobby.
10  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: I'm a dork - but I'm proud of myself! on: August 08, 2007 04:31:45 PM
I think that's awesome. I'm still using the Brother machine my mom bought me from Wal-Mart one Christmas, and I love it. Just two nights ago I managed to completely screw up a simple robe pattern. I curse the day I opted to take Spanish instead of Home Economics.
