1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Re: Sushi to go... calorie light, but image heavy! on: March 09, 2012 07:05:18 AM
Love these.  I'm just getting started with beading and now I aspire to do something like this.

Congratulations on your new home!  Lots of work, but think of how proud you will be as you get things done.  As for cleaning the sticky residue off the hard wood floors, I have found using a spray called Krud Kutter worked for me.  You still have to scrape, but the KK softens the glue to make it easier to remove, and not gouge your floors.  Of course, it will take up any finish that is on the floor, but probably anything else would as well.  Good Luck!

8  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Discussion and Questions / How to carry a little dog? on: December 22, 2008 08:56:11 AM
My son and his wife just got a new dog.  New for them anyway -- YAY RESCUE.  She's a "Chiweiner" (Chihuahua/Daschund mix) and weighs 7.5 lb.  My DIL wants a way to carry her, and I can't find a "dog purse" anywhere.  Now if just knew where to find a group of people who might be able to help me figure out the best way to make one...  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.  TIA
9  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Re: Found a sewing machine...anyone know how old it is? on: December 10, 2008 08:13:50 AM
I did a little Google sleuthing and found a web-shot of a machine that looks similar to the one you found.  The accompanying data said  "This Wertheim TS high arm hand crank is in fantastic condition considering it's age. Manufactured by Josef Wertheim of Frankfurt Germany and distributed by Hugo Wertheim in Australia around 1900. Seial No S6846599"  Sounds like your could be from that same time-frame.  Congratulations on a really interesting find!

I've been wondering what to do with all the old CD's I have at home.  Now I know.
