1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / bamboo tile bead on: November 18, 2007 07:43:29 AM
I found a bamboo placemat while out and about one day.
This is the first bead I made using one of the gazillion tiles on that placemat.  lol

I coated the image with gel matte medium, let it dry and soaked it in water the I slowly and carefully rubbed the paper off from the back.  I let it dry and used gel medium to adhere it to the tile.

This is the finished product.  I wanted to go simple and let the image be what stands out.  Not sure I accomplished it but it was fun trying this.

2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / altered clipboards done an inexpensive way on: November 03, 2007 07:22:03 AM
I found a collection of wall paper samples(borders and such)in my art room the other day and remembered the struggle I had just picking out a permanent wall solution even though I had the samples.  LOL the walls ended up being painted b/c I am so non-commital on things d/t liking change too much.

Anyway, I grabbed some clipboards and used the samples(which were free)and created the clipboards.  I had purchased the clipboards at an office supply place for 4 for about 3.00$
I cut the peppers out from the border and thought they looked so much more lively than if I had not done so.

These are really inexpensive.  Wall paper free, the paint .97cents a bottle and the clipboard itself was less than a dollar given it came packaged with other clipboards.

3  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects / old table new again on: November 03, 2007 07:11:24 AM
This was an old wooden table on the deck that had turned grey from the weather and I wanted to get a feel for doing mosaics so it was my lab rat so to speak.  lol

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects / bird baths I have made on: November 03, 2007 07:04:50 AM
I used the dull gray cement baths you can purchase at home improvement stores and add my personality to these.

5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Beaded costume bra on: October 29, 2006 03:42:19 PM
I made this costume bra for a friend I belly dance with.  I saw her on a flyer last week in it and I had to smile knowing Hey, I made that.

6  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Teeny Tiny butterfly journals on: October 29, 2006 03:35:01 PM
These are journals I made after seeing an article in a magazine on them.  They intrigued me so I just had to make me a few.  Were fun to make and it was even more fun to see people's face when they realized they are very small journals.

7  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / reincarnated plain incense tin on: October 29, 2006 03:30:37 PM
I have a gazillion of these things laying around.  I decided to give it a make-over and was pretty pleased with the results.  My Mother snagged this for herself during one of her visits.  She has it displayed and tells everyone who notices it I made it.  Such a sweet Mom.

8  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / my first attempt at a dragon on: October 29, 2006 03:28:39 PM
I made this dragon for my nephew as one of his birthday gifts.  It sits on a rock on his shelf in his room.  I wasn't disappointed in it but felt I could have done much better if I had not been in a rush.

9  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Voodoo type doll made for a friend on: October 29, 2006 03:25:31 PM
I had a friend fly in to visit with me in June.  I told him I would make him this doll so he could take his frustrations out on it in regards to being sick.  He really laughed hard when I handed it to him and has used it from what I am understanding.

LOL that IS real horse hair on the belt.  Figured why not, I have to trim the horses now and then might as well put their hair to good use.

10  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Plain brown paper photo album/scrapbook on: October 29, 2006 03:22:39 PM
I made this for my hub's neice.  She comes to ride the horses on the weekends and I take pictures of her.  I used mulberry paper to cover the plain front, painted the initial, tore some cardboard and attached it all to the front.  She absolutely loved this scrap book.  I filled it with pictures of her visits to the barn in a scrap book fashion with empty pages for HER to do as she continues to visit.
