1  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Want to quilt, beginner question on: February 03, 2009 11:13:12 PM
Some great advice here.  Sad thing is, I just realized there is a pinned section just for beginners LOL!  I did find this site too http://www.sewaquilt.com/quilt-blocks.html#quilt%20blocks which seems to step by step show a beginner how to make a crib sized quilt.  Problem is the quilt is shows has 6 blocks all different and dont really go together.
2  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Want to quilt, beginner question on: February 03, 2009 10:27:49 AM
I have sewn clothing, but never quilted.  I really want to make a quilt crib size for my sister who went through years of infertility and is now pregnant and due mid April.  I was hoping for suggestions of good beginner websites or books of how to quilt?

I would like to make myself some hoodies, and I happen to be a plus sizer.  Anyone know a good pattern for a decent hoodie?  I like zippered hoodies that are at least 28" long.

I have never sewn for myself, I tend to make things for my kiddos.  I like to make tote bags, and shopping cart covers cause shopping carts are so dirty at times!
