21  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: What am I doing?? on: December 28, 2009 05:39:56 AM
I'm not entirely sure...

Are you definitely only knitting into 10 stitches per row? Make sure you only wrap the wool round once on each stitch and then removed the stitch immediately to make sure you're no knitting into the same stitch twice.

I hope that helps  Smiley or that someone more helpful comes along soon.

Yay Ruby! You posted him, and just as I turn up again too. I love him though to be honest the boy's been a bit nervous of him ever since he discovered his secret.  He has to sleep on my side of the bed, not that I'm complaining.

And if you want to see his (perfectly scaled) man parts you can follow this link

Obviously don't follow this link if you're going to be offended by clothy privates...that would be a silly thing to do.
23  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Craftster Itself / Re: Question for admins about posts that are really advertising on: October 17, 2009 11:49:54 AM
I think the rule is that it shouldn't be blatant advertising so

just a photo and a link = bad
a photo and a description with a link for further pictures/information = okay
24  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Buffy the Vampire Slayer Swap Sendout 28 August!! on: October 02, 2009 07:59:36 AM

Yeah I get that I just mean someone who did that could also possibly only send the bare minimum of what with discussion might be considered a large by some people in a swap where it's stated that they must send a large. I just think there's always going to be some issues no matter how you define the requirements.

Has anyone ever actually sent 5 1pt items for a 5pt swap. It seems to me that if someone does that without checking with their partner first then they're not too worried about how their partner will feel getting the package and this will cause issues no matter format the swap guidelines are given in.

So here is my fabulous package from Ruby Copperhead

First off an absolutely ace Spike doll

He glows in the dark - I'll add a shot of that when it gets dark. Here's a close up of the needle sculpting on his face

And a close up of his *ahem* parts

Then I got some crotchet bracelets - in very appropriate Star Trek colours

Ruby was kind enough to include some gifts for my boyfriend aswell as he helped out with her package. He got a scarf

which I'm totally stealing  Grin and a Jagermeister hat (he has a bit of an obsession) which, despite what this picture might indicate, I have promised not to steal.

The were also quote magnets - my favourite is 'cuppa tea, cuppa tea, almost got shagged....'

And then we got matching necklaces. This is mine, the boy's is black and says 'I slept with Drusilla'.

Excuse the morning hair. I'm not sure if the crochet ball was meant to go on the necklace or not but I like it there Grin.

Then there were some extras

That eye candy is deliciously disgusting  Cheesy. And last of all - just to make this post more pic heavy and to show that no one in the family was left out - here's Chev enjoying the box it was all sent in

Thanks again Ruby for an amazing package!

Lol, I know that feeling! On the plus side you could stamp that on a different eraser and have exactly what you need to carve done for you.
