I found some of my old uniforms that were no longer usable. I cut them up in to 6 1/2 squares and then randomly put them together in to a small lap quilt. I wanted to make it bigger but I honestly got frustrated and gave up! Horrible, I know. But anyway, here it is:

That is very cute and a great way to upcycle.  Did you wing it or have a pattern/tutorial?

I started with Simplicity Sew Simple P2019 but I made the sleeves a little smaller at the shoulder and of course made the length shorter. I really like this pattern and have already made a nightgown, this project and now I am about to make another  Wink

I found this shirt at the half off sale last week. I wanted to test out a pattern and see if using a man's shirt would be enough to make a top or dress for my daughter.

Here is a close up of the tag and price. It was a little faded in spots so I think it was folded in plastic before being donated.

Here is the finished project. It worked out pretty well but DD doesn't like the dots! ha ha...Oh well

This dress has been in my cut up pile forever and like most stuff in that pile, I have no idea where it came from! It was a 14, too big for me, and a cute print. So in normal "me" fashion, I cut it up and made something else.

Here is the vest that I made. But in normal "me" fashion, I made it with no adjustments to the pattern and it's just a little too big for me. So I will add buttons and maybe figure out a way to make it fit!

This is just a cute baby quilt I made for the heck of it. It's kinda busy with all the prints on the front, hence the name. It's backed in a pink vintage sheet that I got at an estate sale.

I don't remember where the tan velvet pants came from but there is a very good chance that they were a thrift store or flea market buy. The purple was a curtain, I think, and I got it at a GW in NC. It's just a little lap quilt but its cute and cozy!  Wink It's backed with some stretchy, heavy weight apparel fabric that I got who knows when.

My first t shirt quilt was for my ex while we were married, he doesn't even know where it is right now (boooo...). The 2nd was a Christmas gift for my brother and sister in law and even though I have had the chance to sleep under it I knew I wanted one of my own Smiley

Half the shirts were from my closet and the other half just thrift finds.
