1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Looking for a Pattern of a Human Form on: August 19, 2011 07:58:38 PM
I am interested in finding a pattern of a human.  Not life size, smaller - I want to create them and then have them sitting on a small crochet couch/chair/bed, etc. like soft sculptures.  It does not have to be anatomically correct but I am looking for nose, ears and hand patterns.  I would like the pattern to include breasts.   The feet do not have to show the individual toes.  If anyone knows of anything like this I would be more than willing to buy the pattern.  Thanks for your help.  Jeri

Your work is beautiful.  I watched your turtle video and it was very funny.  I love the materials you are using to make your stuff.  Do you know the website where it can be ordered from?

6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Macrame Owl Pendant on: June 21, 2011 10:27:32 AM
I used to make so many of these owl necklaces when macrame was so popular back in the day!  I have wanted to make an owl for so long - I finally found a pattern and did it.  The first one I made took about 2 hours because I didn't understand some of the directions (knots).  The first one I made was out of cotton yarn and my husband says it reminds him of something voodoo.  Whatever!  So next I made this owl with metallic crochet thread.  I got the idea of using a wire on the top from some other pictures I saw (lets just say that I borrowed the idea).  I thought that was such a cute idea.  So what do you think of my first of a zillion owls I will be making?

You are absolutely right!  I did not know this.  The countries that refused to switch to the euro are Iceland, Norway, UK, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Sweden, Denmark, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Czech Rep, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Albania, Serbia, Croatia, FYR Macedonia, and Bosnia Herzegovina.

I made this with some Italian coins I had saved from when I lived in Italy.  Europe uses Euros now for money, so these coins are no longer in circulation.  I love the way this necklace turned out.
