11  Vintage Valentine Surprise in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by PinkPug,INK. on: January 29, 2010 12:52:28 PM
I finally took pictures of my matchbox. I wanted it to have a vintage feel to it, since I've been obsessed with that lately. The only matchbox I had was way too small for the image I wanted to use so I modified this template to make it 2x3: http://www.ruthannzaroff.com/mirkwooddesigns/matchbox.htm.

The rose & tag are attached with foam dots so they stand out.

The top has an eyelet with a loop of ribbon to make it easier to slide open.

When you slide the matchbox open, you see:

Back & side of inside part:

Both parts together:

Ok, enough teasing..what's behind the curtain, you ask?

Smiley The surprise is that the outside is nice & the inside is naughty!- something you'd never suspect was hiding in such a mellow package. Kiss

I used an image from http://pin-ups.freeservers.com/index_r2.html for the inside. Her tassels are made from thread. I got the tiny play money from http://www.tinythingsarecute.com/. Here's a closeup:

Please let me know what you think!

12  Witch Hat in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by PinkPug,INK. on: October 30, 2009 07:23:40 PM
I made this witch hat for a recent swap. I was inspired by this post for Pink Paislee. http://www.pinkpaislee.com/BewareCoutureHat.pdf

All I did was roll a piece of thin cardboard into a cone shape & decorate it with lovely paper from Making Memories Spook Alley collection. Smiley

Happy Halloween!

13  Inchie House 'Accordian/Fence Thing' ? in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by PinkPug,INK. on: October 26, 2009 11:35:15 PM
Not really sure what to call this...all 5 houses are attached in the back with black card stock, making them a sort of 'accordian/ fence' type thing..it was definitely inspired by Phizzy's inchie houses but I think I've succeeded in making it a little different. Smiley

The base is cardboard. I inked the edges of the paper & then used rub ons, stickers, pen & a tiny 'rhinestone' to decorate. I also made some inchies while making this:

What do you think? & any suggestions as to what I can call this will be much appreciated. Smiley

14  Halloween Banner in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by PinkPug,INK. on: October 26, 2009 11:10:30 PM
Since Halloween is coming up, I made a Halloween banner. It's made with card stock, different kinds of printed paper, cardboard stickers, rub ons, stamps, ribbon & a plastic spider. Smiley

& here's the other side:

I had to fold it like that to get a better picture; here's a better idea of how it's supposed to be hung:

& a closeup for detail:

What do you think?

Good luck everyone! Smiley

15  Re: 13 Days of Halloween Round 2 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by PinkPug,INK. on: October 02, 2009 01:29:28 PM
Here's my awesome stuff from oohmybees!

For Day 13 I got...fingers! Or chocolate covered pretzel sticks. Smiley

& there was also some extras that she said she couldn't fit in the other box.

Day 12

I got Nightmare Before Christmas ornaments! I LOVE them!!! They look exactly like the ones you could buy at the store!

Here's a closeup of my favorites:

Day 11

Skeleton goblets, wine markers, shaker, ice cube tray & coasters! It's funny cause I was going to send pretty much the same stuff to oohmybees but decided against it.

The wine markers say "Scary", "Haunted", "Spooky", & "Creepy".

Day 10

I love the cookbook! Every Thanksgiving I always make everything I can think of with pumpkin & this year I'll have a whole table full of stuff! Smiley Here's what was inside the tin:

I love these mini stamps! & I also got a Caramel Apple making kit:

There was caramel & chocolate & candy melts to dip them in, paper cups to put them in & lots of stuff to decorate with! We'll probably make them this Sunday!

Day 9
Beaded spiders & bat earrings/charms!

& a closeup of the spider so you all can see how intricate it is:

Another great day of gifts! Smiley

Day 8

Skull Day!

Closeups of the decorated ones:

& a closeup of the wall decal:

Again it seems like me & my partner had similar ideas going into this swap..

Day 7

Today I got a knitted & felted shrunken head pouch & a "grow-a-heart".

& straight from my Wists, 5 reusable fabric shopping bags! They're the ones that look just like plastic bags but they're fabric! They're made from cool Halloween & black & white fabric. I will definitely be using these!

In this pic I tried to show the different fabrics, but I don't think it's the best picture..

Day 6

Today I got a set of Halloween tags from Brandywine Boutique. These will make their way into some altered art soon!

Day 5

I got bat earrings & a bat necklace to match the charms I got on a previous day.

I also got this extremely awesome Nightmare Before Christmas charm bracelet! My partner is so talented! I wouldn't even know how to begin to make something this cool.

Day 4

I got a crochet kit! It came in this bucket, covered in fabric with lots of pockets to put in needles & instructions how to make Halloween things.

Inside the bucket was...

& here's the little guy with the yarn that was also inside.

My baby, Cinnamon, grabbed the monster so I took a couple pictures before I snatched it away.

Day 3

I got a hanuted house with flickering tea light candles inside, a tree...AND...

I was secretly hoping I would get one when I found out who my partner was! It's been on my Wist since she first posted in on Craftster! Smiley

Day 2

I got an awesome tree made from foam board but couldn't get a good picture of it...it's really awesome though! And I got a "specimen in a jar". I didn't fill it with water since Halloween is almost over but it will be a cool decoration for next year.

Day 1

I got the coolest spice rack ever! Some of the jars have "spices" in them, like rice with the label saying "sticky lice". Smiley Love it!!

I borrowed the pic from oohmybees' blog. (Check it out, she has lots of other cool stuff there!)

Thanks so much for being an awesome partner, oohmybees! I had a lot of fun with this swap and love all my stuff!

Here's my super awesome package from thebakersgirl!! I was too excited to get any pictures of everything packed up but it was in Slytherin colored tissue paper & ribbon! Smiley Here's what I opened first:

A Slytherin notebook & an origami doe. Smiley

Then I unwrapped this:

Two carved stamps & my very own Hogwarts trunk! Smiley & what was in the trunk, you ask?

Why, Snape of course! Isn't he adorable?? & he came with 3 books, a wand, a cauldron & a pensieve. And no great Potions master would be complete without...

POTIONS! They're in super cute little bottles!! thebakersgirl even wrote down what they were for me. So left to right, they are: moonstones, powdered dragon horn, powdered unicorn horn, beetle eyes, & bezoars.

Thanks bakersgirl!! I love everything & had so much fun with this swap!  Grin

17  Re: Altoid Tin Round 12 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by PinkPug,INK. on: August 01, 2009 09:50:09 PM
I received from SAHmama! She chose my Lost theme & send me this awesome tin!

She decorated the tin with polyclay & she said it was her first time trying this. It came out great! It's the hatch & it came with a pouch which was decorated to be the beach & water with a Flight 815 keychain crashing on the island! Smiley

I couldn't get a good picture of the inside so if you have anything better, please post.

The top is a flight schedule & the bottom has the smoke monster! Inside, there were magnets:

I love that there are magnets of Charlie's hands cause he was my favorite character on the show! And here's the rest of what was inside:

She sent a cute little note explaining what everything was for:
*a sewing kit to stitch up wounds
*a compass
*a vial of ocean (tap) water
*a bookmark with a Locke quote
*a polarbear pincushion
*a headband with the numbers
*a swatch of Claire's "magical" baby blanket (it's magical because "it's apparently impervious to baby spitup, pee & poo for weeks or months at a time").

Thanks so much! I love everything but my favorite is the pouch- I'm going to use it for my camera!! Smiley

I just now found my camera cord so I wanted to share the awesome ATC's raerae sent me in addition to the 44 cent envelope.

Aren't they awesome? I especially love how the pug is peeking through the cutout on the back! Thanks raerae!  Grin

I'm glad you like it puppybreath! Cheesy The pencil is from Ikea...we've been going there a lot lately so I have a bunch of them lol. Here's a pic of the back of the clipboard because that was my favorite part:

Do you have any pics of the coffin tin? I didn't want to post one of it falling apart.  Sad

I received from puppybreath a while ago but haven't been able to find my camera cord til now so here's pictures! She chose my pirate & skeleton themes. Here's the awesome tin with everything that was inside:

I have my very own treasure chest! Smiley She cut the vinyl on the skull & bat stickers herself.

She also sent a mini Altoids tin that was decorated as a coffin (which she said fit inside before she added sculpey) but unfortunately the packing peanuts melted into it during shipping so it was pretty much ruined. I could tell that it was awesome though! Here's what I found inside the coffin:

Thanks puppybreath! You should be getting yours really soon & I hope you love it! Smiley
