21  Etched frame-original design in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by MsJamieLeigh on: June 17, 2009 03:41:09 PM
Okay, so I just completed a disposable camera swap where I have to make a frame.  I have been dieing to post the frame for weeks but I didn't want my partner to find it!! haha So now that she has it I can post it safely. (btw, I borrowed the photos she took of them, thanks kidwithkemikals)

So this was my first ever adventure with glass etching!! I drew out a design then cut it out on contact paper, might I add cutting this design out with an exacto knife sucked. But, in my opinion so worth it! Smiley I was very proud of the whole thing!! =)

Close up of the frame and etching:

Everything I sent her (and the photo in the frame I did take, that surprised her, lol.)

Also. if you'd like to see our swap gallery, which is awesome go to:
I mine is on page 6

I hope you all like it!!! Leave comments if you'd like, I'd love to know what you think!!

22  Sculpy, shrinky dinks & crochet; what a combo!! in Completed Projects by MsJamieLeigh on: June 11, 2009 07:14:13 PM

Sorry for the horrid photos.

1. Sculpy Futurama Brain Slugs (one of my boyfriends Christmas presents)

2. Futurama Shrinky dink (Also one of my boyfriends Christmas presents, see a trend?) Also I made about 30 fancy name shrinky dinks for my cousins, I wish I had gotten a picture.

3. A crochet beanie. I made like 8 of these but this is the only one I have a picture of, ignore me! Smiley And yes, I made one for my boyfriend too. Smiley He likes crafty stuff.

And please give me a little more credit, these photos do no justice. Not bragging by any means, but these pictures are pretty hideous. lol

At the time, it was the worst thing I had ever experienced... But Hurricane Katrina saved my life. I evacuated the day before it hit...just so you know. But... I almost didn't.

It pisses me off when cool nerdy boys have fetishes for Asian chicks.

Like Rivers Coumo
Grrr... It seriously happens all the time.

I'm ashamed of my bf's family's beliefs. I believe the total opposite. I'm ashamed I can't stand up for my beliefs. But really how do you tell still religious former Mennonite's who are older than so (you?) that they are wong?

This is what they believe
"Gays will burn in hell" "A woman should be forced to have a baby even when raped" "Planet Earth is not being destroyed by pollution" "Bush is a hero" "Every religion other than theirs is a cult & is evil"

30  MY first dress!!! (Infinity dress) in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by MsJamieLeigh on: September 22, 2008 06:37:45 PM
Okay, so one night I decided to venture into the world of dress making. I am positive had I taped the night, you all would have gotten chuckled. I did enlist the help of a friend and my mom.  My friend helped me cut the fabric (It took two people! Plus I had to give my brothers rug a haircut too. haha), which by mistake ironically turned into making two dresses instead of one. Fun stuff! But then my mom helped me by fixing the sewing machine to sew my fabric correctly! haha (note to self, stretchy fabric is sucky to sew.) It turned out shorter than I had planned, but I intend on fixing that.

Well here it is, my first ever homemade dress. Why yes, it is an infinity dress. I will post more photos later of the different ways to tie it and if I ever get around to fixing the length!

Hope you like it and feel free to leave your opinion and tips!
