21  Re: Viva Mexico!!! aka the Mexican kitsch swap gallery! in The Swap Gallery by spicytaco on: July 15, 2009 06:15:52 PM
I've been so slow in posting. Sorry bought that.

Here's the wicked package I got from jessarama.

First, some very cool post cards and what I think is a love potion.

And this really great embroidered towel. I think I'm going to frame it. It's way to nice to use as a towel.

Finally this wicked purse and doll. The purse is really nice oil cloth sorta fabric. It's lined really nicely with purple, and it has blue rhinestone buttons where the strap attaches. I love everything about it and it has replaced my 4 year old tote bag as my everyday bag. And the doll as you can see is stunning. I didn't get a great picture. I have an issue with lighting. So, let me tell you some of the details like little pearl buttons painted up the side of her boots and fish net stockings. Oh, and she has one gold tooth.

She also sent me three bracelets that I love but somehow didn't take a picture of. Two are skull beads all around, and the other has square wood beads with pictures of Jesus and the Virgin Mary and such.

Thanks so much!!

I picked up this wicked package from the post office yesterday. Thanks MysMyers.

First some latex zombie wounds. I will definitely be using these.

Cute monster zippered pouch. I love the fabric.

Inside the pouch was this cute ghosty necklace.

And finally, this super cool Medusa painting. I think it's so wicked. Mr. Taco totally digs it too.

Thanks again MysMyers.

Well of course I'm in. One of my very favorite things I've received in a swap is a dotee. I speak of course of super pickle.

That's right...it's SuperPickle.

I have no idea yet what I'm going to do this time. I might use my original idea from last round.

Sorry I've been so slowing in posting these.

First is this cute pear from Junebug6162. I think she's adorable.

This is Miss. Mississauga from Smmarrt. She dances with sheep.

And this great green fuzzy monster from GrimmLynn. He's so awesome.

Grimmlynn also sent me this owl:

And here are the ones I made before they were separated. They all have the same crazy hair:

I received from spotnik today. That makes everyone.

First from summertimerolls. A rose bush made from quilled paper. So pretty.

And my wonderful clothes pin magnets from spotnik. So cute and useful. Mr. Taco really liked these ones.

And just for fun, my fridge. (Most of the other magnets are from my jar of whimsys angel and the certificate is just for passing an exam for work.)

Hey there lovelies. Well I know by now no one is probably looking here, but I got my angel package today. Yay. Zombiecazz was cool enough to make me this awesome package based on my octopus theme.

First this super cute octo plushy.

Next up are a pair of granny square gloves that I'm never going to take off and a chain scarf. She was inspired by the colours, and the scarf kinda looks like tentacles.

Also we have this cute tote bag and little zippered bag that she stashed a few crochet hooks in. (I told her about how I'm learning to crochet.)

She also included some tea, as I'm a big tea drinker, and a CD with some amigurumi patterns, recipes, and crochet music. I can't wait to make some sticky treacle cake. (I don't know if we have treacle in Canada.......I don't even know what it is.)

Thanks so much cazz!

Alright, so I picked up my lovely package from oxynitrate yesterday and here it is. She really stuck with my love of bugs, which is very cool.

Dragonfly note cards. I'm putting these to use right away actually for another swap.

A cool scorpion model/toy.

A lovely charm bracelet with butterflies and dragonflies:

A butterfly keychain she reconstructed into a necklace:

And finally, this very cool butterfly box clock. I love that she took the idea of a butterfly box but made it into a clock. So cool. Not sure where to hang it yet, but probably in the kitchen or in my crafting area (err...dining area...):

Oh yeah...there was some cute spider rings too that I didn't take pics of. Thanks so much oxy!!!

You know your jealous.....
