61  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / Re: something new on: September 22, 2008 06:31:37 PM
I truly like them both!

There is a classic elegance to simple lines. Not to say that what you've done here is simple (as I glare at my still-non-functional sewing maching menacingly), not at all - rather they look fantastic and like they'd be flattering to any body style.

Very nice *is envious of your ability*

I like 'em!

We've got a system worked out here that suits us both.

As I have an ultrasupremehatred of doing the dishes, and he has the same sentiment towards the bathroom, we take care of these things for each other. The rest of the rooms in our apartment, we do together, which makes it faster AND no one feels bitter.

And we're both cluttery artists by both nature and upbringing...so it's cluttered, but clean!

I am completely in love. And that tongue is WIN.

*squiggles with glee*

Yay Manta Rays! Finally getting a little love!

He is most incredibly awesome.

I have a friend that is Spiderman obsessed (and he's 42), and he would squeal with delight over this.

That webbing is insane. I'm not quite sure I love my friend enough to try that *grins*
65  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Candy shot glasses - my first attempt - recipe added on: September 22, 2008 06:07:50 PM
We're having a retirement party for someone I work with...these would be perfect!

I'd like to make some semi salty ones for tequila shots. Perhaps some lime juice in there? It's experiment time, babies.

I didn't sift through the previous 40+ pages to see if these had been posted...if they have, well...then I agree with you! *smiles*

A potato roll
some mayo (NOT Miracle Whip, it won't taste the same)
dill pickle slices
a little bit of mustard
Lays Sour Cream and Onion potato chips. (NOT the ones with ridges! Oi!)

Open potato roll, spread on condiments, lay down pickles (usually 3), a few chips. Repeat for as many as you desire. Kinda reminiscent of a Wendy's chicken sandwich, as completely bizarre as that is. Maybe I'm just screwy in the head.

I also have a tendency to eat anything Chef Boyardee and Cream of Mushroom soup with a fork, cold, out of the can. This draws strange looks, depending on who looks. Chef Boyardee is just tasty like that, and the Cream of Mushroom soup has an odd story behind it and now I refuse to eat it normally.

As far as things that I can't make at home on a regular basis are concerned...

Seal stomach. It's freaking delicious. Comes naturally packed with an assortment of seafood...
Moose brain - kinda chewy, tastes alright.

Ah...Alaskan upbringing. Good times.
67  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Collaborations ROCK! when you can't do it, ask someone who CAN! :) on: September 22, 2008 05:33:44 PM
O.O

Those are lovely. Insanely muchly so.
68  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: even MORE awesome frosted glasses :) and for the boyfriend on: September 22, 2008 05:03:43 PM
Those look great! The edge lines look fantastic.

It looks like you're using a cream. I've been playing with that for some time, but I'm having difficulty when it comes to rounded surfaces.

Because I'm lazy, I don't really stencil. I put the contact paper down, draw what I want (or freehand, which ends badly *weep*), and cut (with a knife. Oi.).

It seems that it would be difficult to, say, make a logo that stretches all the way around the glass (think armband tattoo style).

Any advice?

And again, those look awesome!
69  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Black / White Shorts with skulls (can I really wear them out?) picture heavy! on: September 19, 2008 10:00:45 PM
I like 'em! Especially since I'm in International Talk Like a Pirate Day mode right now *grins*

If I had the body to rock those, I totally would...so, if you're inclined to do so, go for it!
70  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Firefly bag- tons of pics on: September 17, 2008 09:43:36 PM
I completely swooned over this bag...and that was before the bonus nekkid Mal pic *grins*

The pins are something that I must accomplish. Must.

This blends perfectly into another idea I've been toying with...

Great inspiration here - thank you!

Also - I love the reference list. If I ever craft and post aforementioned idea, I would of course cite you as inspiration...you gave kudos to someone else, who thanked someone else...it's a great chain of inspiration!

*squiggles with delight*
