so I finally got a wheel, and to my dismay, I can't get it to work. It either spins the fiber and does not wind the bobin or viece versa.  So I went back to my trusty drop spipndle and came up with this:
i'm calling it latte, simply because I dyed it with coffee!

And I also tried my hand at dyeing rovings and got this:
swamp (I need to get crackalackin' on cleaning some light brown wool I was given for free and then just spin the 2 together)

and this:
*insert name here*  ( i don't know what to call this one, any sugestions?) Will be spun up with a bit of white, hopefully on my wheel.

sorry I had to use flickr, I can't figure out how to get my pictures .2mb smaller  Sad ...

Again, Everyones work is stunning!  Well done!

Nicolassa, stunnign as usual, I aspire to make such gorgoeus yarn!

I've never done a swap, I''m still looking for one that I would be intrested in, and while perusing these forums I came across this:

There was also the Axe cozy in the Teacozy's with Irony challange

With so many responses from other craftsters I think it would be a great swap!  Only problem is I can't organise one.  Anyone out there that can?  I'd love you forever!

this is the greatest thing ever!  If you don't mind sharing the improvised pattern, I'd be glad to see it!  I wish my hubby was a 'lock, it might not be quite the most appropriate xmas gift for a Warrior/paladin/drooooood.  But I think he'd think it was cool none the less.
I can't wait to see the Murloc.
Pressing this rocks!

well done!  Looks much like the stuff I did my first time.  I love the look of beginner stuff, so lumpy and full of different textures.  I love texture!

omg I love everyones work!  Well done!  Makes me want to get at it..... just got a wheel, found some local resources for wool and now I need to find the time to do it LOL.
But again,  Gorgeous!

Love them all, I feel like you guys are in a secret cult that only a few can join-that is until I convince hubby that it's okay to add just ONE more craft to my multitudes of piles in the basement!
I already tell him my fabric insulates the basement, he should be greatful! lol

Beautiful work ladies TGFFF (thank God for Fibre Fridays)!

Fabric insulates the basement! LOL  thats awsome!  And I agree TGFFF!
