those are quite pretty.    And they don't neccessarily need to eat off them, they can hang them in their kitchen, they look very decorative Cheesy

very beautiful.  you are a brave woman to go at it the way you did! LOL  I bake all my cakes the week before and and freeze.  then do all the decorating the day before.   But that is a very gorgeous cake Cheesy

thought I might revive this thread.

So last weekend, I went into the local farmers market.  I took my drop spindle, simply because the space there is lacking ofr the wheel it self.  But I did ALMOST sell 2 skeins, until they asked what It was made of, and I replied wool.  i guess she has an allergy.  Sad  oh well maybe next weekend. (not this one coming up , because I plan on living in my back yard tommorow and prepping and dyeing fibers all day Grin)

i'm trying something very new (for me) and exciting for this swap,  i'm a bit scared but i'm sure it will all come out ok...

OMG!!! it came out really well! dh loves it, so do i, now i can't wait to post it for you LBG!!! this is way fun, i'm gonna do lots for myself - i love swapping and how it makes me spread my wings Grin

(edited because i sound rather big headed!)

no reason not to be  proud of an achievement like that, conquering a new craft is a great feeling!  good for you for 'spreading your wings'......  I'm debating doing the same thing....  Smiley

Thank you! it was a super delish cake!  It's gone now of course.  But the recipe I linked makes a very moist, very strawberry tasting cake.
I'm still working on thoses piping skills.. practice makes perfect right? Cheesy
