So here it is in all its fibery goodness. 2 pots of dye (red and yellow for the big international day of felt)  Glaubers salt, Orvus paste(both of which are supposed to get me more even results, which will be wonderful!)  Tussah silk-2oz from the silk weaving place on granville, and about 5 oz (50grams each) of assorted colored merino wool from Shoppel Wolle on granvile island.  Yum Smiley

Oh and LiveLongandCraft,  I'm in your boat.  Made 3 pies and I ate 2 of them.....  for some reason he just doesn't like the sweets either.

some of the most delicious things come out of necessity.  What kind of squash did you use?  I'm sure any would work, but I'm headed to the grocery store today, and this might be tomorrows supper!

8088  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Discussion and Questions / Re: September Felt-along - preparing for OCT 3rd. International felt-bombing on: September 09, 2009 06:40:58 PM
Just got back from Vancouver.  Sadly did not get to Birkeland brothers.. but I did get to a fiber shop on Granville island.  Bought a large quantity of red and yellow dye, and am going to dye a bunch hopefully tomorrow.  then get started on the felting for this....... I've gone and over booked myself with swaps.. I hope to get all I have planned done before the 3rd.  I have plans for tons of broches to adorn the local shop keeps and a giant bowl and possibly a small table cloth, hopefully nuno felted to go underneath it.    And if I still have time after all that, flowers to hang on the trees that line the entrance to town...... or at least the one in my front yard... oh and maybe a piece of felt about 2x4 feet  to hang on the front door....... so much to do so little time.....
