some of the most delicious things come out of necessity.  What kind of squash did you use?  I'm sure any would work, but I'm headed to the grocery store today, and this might be tomorrows supper!

8075  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Discussion and Questions / Re: September Felt-along - preparing for OCT 3rd. International felt-bombing on: September 09, 2009 06:40:58 PM
Just got back from Vancouver.  Sadly did not get to Birkeland brothers.. but I did get to a fiber shop on Granville island.  Bought a large quantity of red and yellow dye, and am going to dye a bunch hopefully tomorrow.  then get started on the felting for this....... I've gone and over booked myself with swaps.. I hope to get all I have planned done before the 3rd.  I have plans for tons of broches to adorn the local shop keeps and a giant bowl and possibly a small table cloth, hopefully nuno felted to go underneath it.    And if I still have time after all that, flowers to hang on the trees that line the entrance to town...... or at least the one in my front yard... oh and maybe a piece of felt about 2x4 feet  to hang on the front door....... so much to do so little time.....

8079  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Backseat Cover/Dog Blanket: Who wants to go for a ride? (a litter of pics) on: August 26, 2009 07:10:31 AM
yes! for kids to!  I need one.....  I think it would work just fine with car seats as there are openings where the buckles are, and the latch system on most cars are right beside the buckles.  yup... come fit my car and his truck!

Ha!  I kind of need one for me.  Ahem.

Wouldn't you have to remove the whole car seat to clean the cover?  Or is that not such a big deal?

hehe.. yeah I can sew my own, I'm just buggin'!!  Grin

yeah you would have to remove the car seats to clean the cover, but we change the car seats around so often that for us it'd be easy.  And eventually the car seat fabric needs to be cleaned to, so it could be one of those things that you do once a month or two Smiley

Call me inappropriate, but am I the only one who notices the similarities in the names of fiber equipment and the names of um.... adult novelties?

What can that mean??  Don't answer that.

I nearly spit my coffee on the monitor........    Grin  good morning!!!
