8061  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Discussion and Questions / Re: September Felt-along - preparing for OCT 3rd. International felt-bombing on: September 15, 2009 09:07:13 PM
I whiped out 3 necklaces.. okay well the beginings of 2, and finished the 3rd tonight.  LOVE em!  I've talked to the Bank (yeah theres only one here... ) and I have their permission to display some art work, and the necklaces are for the ladies that work the front desk.  I think I'll make the boss man a tie or something.....  Anyway i' m glad i'm finally making progress on it, albeit minimal.

For the Alliance! (We're prettier Cheesy )

my boyfriend was showing my WoW and when he asked me what i wanted to be, he asked if i wanted to know what each did, i said no, and picked a little gnome with bright pink pigtails Tongue just because i thought she was cute

ahahhaaa!  that is EXACTLY what I did!  Except my gnome had white pigtails Smiley
8065  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Low Stress Fiber Swap Round 1 on: September 15, 2009 07:27:16 AM
yeah I would likely replace the carding cloth.  likely to 98tpi,  or more...  I found a site that sells it for 5.80 per inch, but I'm not sure how many inches i'll need.  I've messaged the seller though, to find out how big the drums are, to work out the price.  It may be more worth it to buy a new one in the end anyway.... we'll see Smiley

good luck with the Step moms surgery SML.  Also I say don't hesitate on the Traveler.  get that.  I lurve mine!

i think it would be the way I would see it... it takes more yarn to go around a piece that is say 1 inch by 1 inch by 1/4 inch then it would to go around a piece that is 1 inch by 1/2 inch by 1/4 inch.   But I guess you could probably wrap it around a piece that is a foot by 1 inch by 1/2 inch and get the same amount of wraps in that one inch, right?  I confuse easily.  Especially now that I'm pregnant again...   But I think you cleared it up for me.  it doesn't mater how much yarn you use, it maters how many times the yarn wraps in that one inch.
8070  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Child Abuse Make Up - graphic images - image heavy on: September 13, 2009 04:34:19 PM
Your daughter was a wonderful model.  The look in her eyes made me cry.   You are a great make up artist, those bruises and cuts and burns look amazing, though I'd never ever ever want to see injuries like that for real on a child.  Well done!  Thank you for bringing more awareness to this issue.  Children are people to, and don't deserve to be mistreated in anyway Smiley
