1  Panda Purse! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Michellegio_sew on: November 08, 2008 07:37:32 PM
Here is a simple clutch I made today from some white vinyl.  I think the Panda is so nice!  I got it from www.annthegran.com (for machine embroidery).

The lining is red polyester.  I could have used blue or gold, but I liked the red!

Let me know what you think!

2  Re: Let's see your sewing machine!! in Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions by Michellegio_sew on: November 08, 2008 06:31:04 PM
After that Janome just above this post I feel sewing machine envy....

But here are 3 of mine (I just gave one to my mom, and also my mom is storing my treadle until I buy a bigger house)

My main man! (Actually I think she is a girl)
A Brother CS-5000I from Walmart,  Not a high end machine but it does the trick!

This one is definitley a Guy - it is tempermental
Kenmore Serger (I forget the model number suddenly)

This one is not gender identified yet...I am thinking Male - Slow but gets the job done eventually... LOL
Pfaff Smart 300E Embroidery Only - My baby!

3  Freddy Mercury Costume! in Halloween Costumes by Michellegio_sew on: November 06, 2008 06:58:24 AM
Before Halloween I was approached by the nicest person I have met for sewing commissions!  She is in a band and they wanted to be "Legends" for halloween.  This means they would all dress up as rock'n'roll legends.  She wanted to be Freddy Mercury and sent me photo after photo!  It was clear she wanted something pretty precise, but I am always up to the challenge!

Here are some pics which she sent and is allowing me to keep & use! (yey! Thanks!)

I altered an existing jacket and pants, added all the trim and buckles and etc.  I even made the bias tape and the belt!

Comments / Critisicm welcome!

4  First Post of a project since coming back to Craftster! My new purse! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Michellegio_sew on: September 11, 2008 11:48:26 AM
I designed this purse last sunday, and made it on Monday on my EDO (earned day off)

the embroidery design is a free one from Ann The Gran.  Thanks so much to the designer of it.  It is just perfect for what I needed.  It was practically screaming at me "put me on a purse!!!"

This purse is in a messenger bag style but smaller for everyday office use.  I didn't put a closure on it because it didn't need it for my uses.

the outside is black corduroy, the inside is interfaced, interlined and lined.  It has a zippered inner pocket which is very roomy.  It also has one of my new "labels" which is my initials "MGio" that I use at my job, since there was already another Michelle G working there already.

Any comments / constructive criticism welcome!

I got one photo to upload.
*Craftster image hosting doesn't seem to like my photos so I put them on Photobucket instead for anyone who wants to see a few more including the inside. I hope this isn't against the rules. If it is please do let me know!
