My local PO never scans the items right in front of me.  They take the packages and toss them in a bin behind them unless I purchase the DC right then and there, which is more expensive.  I always hand my items directly to my mail carrier when I print postage at home or if it's first class, I'll drop it in a mailbox.

Would this still be an issue?  Is this okay?  I guess I'm just confused on what the issue could be with printing postage at home and handing to a mail carrier.

hmmm....My love affair with scarves is pretty big.  I don't know if I'll be able to not do this swap.  (I slept with a scarf on last night...I have a problem, I know.)

I received a fantastic package from MommyTheMaid.  She claimed me for ornaments and craft felt.  I've quickly come to realize that one cannot have too much craft felt.  Cheesy

The ornaments were inspired by something on my etsy favorites:

And I know a picture of craft felt may not be exciting to all but I was excited to receive it!  Cheesy Cheesy

Thank You, MommyTheMaid (and I apologize for taking FOREVER to get pictures up.)

I claim FinRaziel for needles, yarn and *something* crafty.  I can decided officially if you officially need an official answer.   Wink Grin

This is my 1st claim/ 0 Sent/ 0 received

HI!  My name is Nicole.  I live in Wisconsin, USA.  I fit almost every Wisconsin stereotype..I LOVE cheese and microbrewed beer.  Cheesy  I'm allergic to ALPACA!!! Also to mildly allergic to dogs, bees, the color PINK (yuck!), people that litter, most metals and synthetic fragrances. Cigarette smoke is nasty and gives me migraines. Think of all the craft supplies you could buy if you quit smoking!!  My favorite colors are food colors: olive, mustard, eggplant and I also wear a lot of black and navy.  I don't like pastels.  I am married, have three boys (10,6,3) and my dearest kitty, Izzy, recently passed away.  (I'm devastated, she was my little love.)  I have a big goal for 2011; I'm trying to knit 500,000 stitches.  That is a lot for me and I don't think I have enough yarn.  I also have plans for my first sweater.

Crafted Wishes:
NEW-'The Nanny' inspired handbag.  Not a messenger style though.  I have bag examples that I dig on my wists and etsy faves.
NEW-Something inspired by Conan O'Brien's desk washing promo for TBS.  haha, this cracks me up!
****NEW-A Conan O'Brien poppet (this is bigger than a medium, I know...I'd die if I actually got one.  I'd probably sleep with him too.  haha)
NEW-Sock blockers (woman's size 7/8)
-Something warm.  haha, I'll let you run with this one.
-A floppy, knit hat.
-Handmade paper.
-Personalized stationary.
-***A recipe box that holds 4x6inch cards.
-ANYTHING from my wists.  (Most items have comments about them...why I like it or other ideas.)  http://wists.com/elociNNicole
-***A stuffed Warehouse Mouse for my 3yo.  (He loves Imagination Movers and I can't find a mouse anywhere!!)
-Miniature paintings like this: http://www.etsy.com/listing/26996313/cherry-original-miniature-painting-with?ref=fp_feat_10 I'd love a few of these with different subjects.
-A handmade bookplate stamp.  (Message me with what I'd like it to say...our last names...)
-My ETSY faves are almost better than my wists.  ANYTHING from my favorites: http://www.etsy.com/people/elociNNicole/favorites?ref=pr_faves
-I LOVE scarves.  Especially fabric ones.  See wists or etsy faves for ideas.
-***An embroidered piece that looks like my recently deceased kitty.  I miss her so much!  (I've got a ton of pics.)
-Art quilt for the wall.  I'd love a tree with 3 apples on it.  Not too country though.  I'll leave the rest up to you.
-Handmade 'Recycle' stamp.  I'd prefer the symbol over the written word.
-Handspun yarn. (no alpaca)
-An obi belt.  Black fabric, or a reversible black/brown one would be awesome too.
-Not sure how it would ship, but I'd love a terrarium.
-A cover for my Kitchenaid stand mixer in a solid color.  (White or chocolate brown)
-Decorative pillows.  Browns, tans and beiges.
-Fragrance beads.  (Vanilla scented)
-An embroidered piece of a paisley print.
-Raw Honey.  A total longshot... If you have bees, I'd love some of your/their raw honey.
NEW-A winter wreath for my door.  Snowflakes would be perfect so I can keep it up longer than just for the holidays.
NEW-'You remind me of the Babe' cross stitch or embroidery piece.  (The movie Labyrinth)
NEW-A 'Piano Key Necktie' embroidered piece.  I'd like it positioned it vertically and made to look like it's tied.  Tied like this: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_FZel8xdSoAI/SXnb0z-fvOI/AAAAAAAAAZA/MuHIEciEBmw/s1600-h/img-thing.jpg but I'd love it if the black keys were on the other side.
NEW-Cross stitch of an amazing and powerful quote taken from Conan O'Brien's final monologue. quote:  "Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen"

Yarn is a big wish for me as I'm trying to knit 500,000 stitches in 2011.
-Knit Picks Swish Worsted weight yarn.  http://www.knitpicks.com/yarns/Swish_Worsted_Yarn__D5420153.html I just love this stuff.  I'd happily take any color.
-***0val wooden embroidery hoops.  I don't have any oval ones!  0val picture frames would be sweet too.
-**Wooden embroidery hoops....any sizes, the more the merrier.  (I've been keeping the work framed in the hoops so I've noticed my supply quickly decrease.)
-Wool Yarn (even wool blends is fine.)
-Craft felt...any colors, any blends.
-I have a Sizzix Big Kick and I'd love dies for it.  Especially snowflakes, holiday themes, LEAVES, geometric shapes. (I have circles already)
-***A frame/stretcher for silk dying.  (I have the scarf blanks, the gutta, the dye but no frame to stretch the work out on.  )
-The wooden mannequins used for figure drawing, I LOVE those.  I've always wanted a hand one.  (The animal ones are also pretty rad.)
-Snowflake stickers.  (I'll need a bunch for my holiday cards.)
-Blocking pad and pins.
-Yarn.  No fun fur or other novelty yarns please...I just won't use them.
-Those empty, clear glass ornaments you can fill.
-Self-striping sock yarn in very bold colors.
-This pattern:  http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/the-hudson-hat and maybe some yarn that would be appropriate for this.  (Bright, bold colors.)
-Yarn ball winder (longshot, I know.)
-Cotton fabric to be embroidered on.  (Solids, big pattern prints and small pattern prints...all is welcome)
-Vanna's Choice 100% acrylic, Worsted weight yarn.  I can't get enough of the eggplant color.  (specifically called 'Purple' Color 147)  I'd happily give any color a home.

-I'm a coffee junky.  I'll happily consume an unflavored sampling.  Especially if it's a local roaster.
-I love DARK chocolate.
-Recipes.  I'm always looking for new ideas and love receiving them hand written on recipe cards. (4x6)
-Burt's Bees products.  I don't think I've met one that I didn't like.

Anything new, I'll note 'NEW' in front of it.
***: BIG wish!

You ladies are pretty lucky with your craft-patient/enabling SO's.  Mine gets irritated if he's got to use my laptop b/c my homepage is...Craftster.  duh!  Who's isn't?!?  He asked me once, how do you get your news if you spend so much time on craftster?  I said, "Um, that's what twitter is for."  heh heh.  He didn't find that humorous at all.

I joined 65 because I think I'm officially addicted although Christmas keeps nagging me.  Cards, cookies, gifts...the list is growing.  Sent in my questionnaire though, just in case.  Wink
