11  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Hidden Jewelry Box on: April 28, 2010 09:54:39 PM
Awesome! I bought a jewelry "box" that hangs on the wall like this and is disguised as a picture frame a few years back at Wal-Mart...it didn't even occur to me to try and make my own!

I like how customizable it is too, you could either create your own art for the front, use a picture frame, or use art you already have. Pretty cool!

I love that everything you do is instantly recognizable as your work, but they're all so different too! Lovely as always Smiley and I'm sure that little girl will cherish this for the rest of her life.

i love the lettering too. Also we bought the same exact crib, dresser, and changing table! we haven't decorated yet though as we have one more week to find out if its a boy or girl!

Eee how exciting! I love the set and it was really reasonably priced, but I think we may have put the dresser together wrong or something...the middle drawer comes off track ALL THE TIME. Drives me crazy! Be sure to update and let us know whether it's a girl or a boy!

Wow! You brave, brave woman! I do agree with you on the point that Amy patterns are much easier the second go-round, though. These are beautiful and what lucky bridesmaids!

Thanks again everyone!

I'm not usually a fan of pink at all...but I figured if I made it classy and not baby-ish then it would appeal to me a little more for a little longer. I did decide to hang the sea creatures up because I didn't think it would look right for a baby otherwise.

So I finally almost finished it! I need to put some scrapbook paper over the bins that are under the changing table and recover the bottom cushion of the glider...but I feel like I've tackled a lot in here Smiley It used to be cloud wallpaper with Spiderman stickers ALL OVER. We had to put textured paint-able wallpaper over that icky stuff.

My dad cut the letters out for me using a font I found online and I stained them mahogany to match the furniture. All of the pictures on the wall are sea creatures that I drew with Prismacolor pencils and micron pens.

Hope you like it! Comments/criticisms?
