1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / FOC Second Chance Swap? on: July 23, 2015 10:58:13 AM
Just wondering if there are any plans for a new FOC Second Chance anytime soon.  The last one was back in January.  I'm back on here and have a negative feedback to make up for from 2012.  I am really looking forward to swappin' again.
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Stitched Heart + Initial Tree on: April 25, 2012 03:26:42 PM
My Cousin to Be's bridal shower is this Sunday, along with the items I purchased from their registry I wanted to include something handmade.  I got the pattern from http://www.themodernladyblog.com/index.php/2011/02/02/heart-tree-carving-embroidery-pattern-tutorial/.  I purchased a frame for $3.99 but when I removed the cardboard corners the corners of the frame weren't matched up, it looked more like a $1 frame.  So I Mod Podged some scrapbook papers on the sides to mask this imperfection.  I really hope she (they) like it.

3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Magazine Tree in Coffee Table Tray on: January 27, 2011 01:18:41 PM
I have had this https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=343486.0 post by KatyMai bookmarked forever!  Today was a snow day and this project didn't take very long at all.  This tray was all dusty and not being used....it now has new life to it.
Before I put in the glass...

And after...

Thanks for looking!  Grin
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / My 1st Knitted Purse on: June 20, 2010 01:05:39 PM
PATTERN: Drawstring Bag by Carol J. Sulcoski featured in KnitScene
YARN: Loops & Threads Impeccable
COLOR: Seaside Ombre
I changed the needle sizes from 6 & 7 to 7 & 8 and also added a 36" Moss Stitch strap.

I made this for a swap partner but I've already started on one for myself using a cream colored fleck yarn.  I plan on using a brown satin ribbon for the drawstring and I might skip the strap (it took forever).  Thanks for lookin', I am so proud of it.  Grin

8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Quick & Easy Scarf on: March 17, 2010 01:03:32 PM
Long Green Scarf 2.5x 63 plus fringe (my first time adding fringe to a scarf)

I made this one for the Quick & Easy Swap.  My partner wanted something knitted & warm.  One of her favorite colors is Spring Green.  I used Red Heart Designer Sport Yarn in Celadon. I cast on 24 stitches with size 9 needles.  Stitch pattern =  K2, P2 every row.  Super Easy!

Here it is when it was just a WIP! The color is so much better in this pic.

Thanks for lookin'. Smiley

9  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / 80's Cartoon Swap on: February 25, 2010 05:50:56 PM
So I found this gallery of a previous swap featuring 80s Cartoons.  This looks like a really fun swap....and it doesn't have to be HUGH either. https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=311539.0

I was so into Fragle Rock, The Smurfs, Jem and the Holograms, Thundercats, Inspector Gadget...OMG, the list goes on and on.

I am not able to organize...are you?
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Sampler Scarf--need some help! on: January 31, 2010 03:36:51 PM
I have been wanting to make a sampler scarf for a long time and it's now made it on my 2010 list of things to make-UGH the pressure!

I've found two patterns and I'm still not satisfied.  Here's my dilemma:
#1 One scarf is too long @ 6.5" x 72.5" and the other is too wide @ 9" x 68".
#2 They both use four different stitch patterns repeated several times through out.  I would rather do enough different patters to only repeat them like once (maybe 6?)

I am a self taught knitter and I've never made a pattern before.  I get the part about making sure there is a border.  But I seem to get all mixed up trying to figure out how to change up the pattern when the stitch patterns have odd and even numbers of multiples.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks so much.
