That is lovely! Looks like you did a really good job on it. I love that you used 2 shirts together rather than just the one.

Ooh that looks yummy! I love how you hid the rainbow surprise. It came out really well, I am always worried that if I try and do something like this then the colours will all mix together and it will come out a sludgy brown...

Thankyou! Smiley
Yeah they were so simple. Just cut the top off the cakes, stuck an oreo on and iced some leaves and petals. The oreos go quite soft as well, almost cake like, so they aren't too messy (though I still managed to get covered in icing and crumbs...)

Ooh that is a really good idea! Might have to knock some up with some fabric scraps I have lying around...

So I am a long time lurker, and finally have decided to bite the bullet and post something I have made! So do excuse me if I make any mistakes or anything like that.

My housemate and I are in the midst of our final year Uni exams and are going a bit mad with all of the revision, so decided to have a well needed break by making cupcakes! She made the cakes using her mum's awesome recipe (they are so light and fluffy!) and I decorated them. I have never used a piping bag before so excuse the unsteady hand!

I nicked the idea from this post [url]https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=240213.0[url] (hope that link worked...) which I have had bookmarked for ages and now have finally made them!

(Hope the pictures are being displayed...)

Excuse the dodgy camera work...photographer, I aint.

So, yeah. Comments and criticism welcome. If you have any tips on using a piping bag, let me know! (my hands are so shaky!) Smiley

That is so cute! I am definately going to steal that idea to jazz up some old vest tops!  Smiley
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: And a purple cupcake dishcloth with sprinkles on top.... on: March 16, 2010 05:04:50 PM
Gorgeous! Though I think that I would feel bad using it to wash the dishes with it, it looks like it should be on display rather than in a sink! I think I might make something like that though. Certainly would make doing the dishes more fun.
