5  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / DORMANT: skinny scarves from interweave crochet free patterns on: September 20, 2005 01:57:42 PM
i have some inca alpaca that was given to me and i though the scarves at interweavecrochet.com (free patterns) were pretty cute and gees that is even one of the yarns called for (which never ever happens to me) i'm starting, as we speak, the first row and wondered if anyone would like to join in! anyone?Huh there is a pattern for ribbon yarn and linen but i'm sure you can use whatever ya want =)
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / loose stitches at edges on: September 20, 2005 01:06:49 PM
Angry sometimes i have these loose stitches ... the very last or first stitch ...i can't figure out why. sometimes it just fixes itself... other times it doesn't. i have noticed that it doesn't really happen as much with bulkier yarn but when i use smaller yarn it can be a pain. i just don't get it. i have tried pulling tighter and all kinds of random tugs and i can't figure out what to do. is this something i'll just have to live with or does anyone know what the heck is going wrong?Huh
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / joining fabric pieces with crochet??? on: September 06, 2005 12:28:55 PM
i'm confused Huh how would i go about joining fabric pieces with crochet?Huh like on this thingy here... http://www.anthropologie.com/jump.jsp?itemID=6357&itemType=PRODUCT&iSubCat=951&iMainCat=335 i figure that when my baby comes i'll need someting to cover up the boobies a bit while breastfeeding (though i really don't see why i should but ya know) i thought this thingy was a good idea. you can click on the pic and get a closer view... then zoom in... if you wait a few seconds it will focus. i can't really figure out what they did... did they just whip stitch around the fabric and then pick up those stitches to crochet? or blanket stitch? or what the heck did they do there?Huh anyone???

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / rediculously easy baby sweater??? on: July 16, 2005 01:06:40 AM
well i'm pregnant  Shocked Cheesy i'm still a beginner at knitting and i'm deathly afraid of sweaters! that said i'm on the mad search for super easy baby sweater patterns! i figure they are pretty small so i won't waste a ton of yarn if i mess up... and it will be cold when my babe is born!  i have never used dpns or circs but i can learn if need be  Wink anyone have any suggestions?
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / postmodern legwarmers yarn subs??? on: April 26, 2005 08:15:02 PM
ok so i'm getting ready to make the postmodern legwarmers from knitty/knitwit...but i honestly have no idea what yarn to use. i have 2 skeins of lion brand imagine and 2 skeins of lion brand homespun. i think the prior is a bit smaller than the yarn called for and the later is a bit bigger. i can't make up my mind which to use. soooooo what yarn did you use when you made them? this is going to be my first project other than a scarf and a washcloth that i have done so i'm afraid i'm going to mess it up! thanks for your help.
