Oooooooh... the excitement!
I made a teeny tiny japanese kokeshi doll tonight!

She was made with scrap polymer clay and then hand painted with acrylic paints.

Here she is:

And now one question remains..... to gloss or not to gloss?

Please let me know what you think of her!


Well she has been glossed. entirely Sad
I was going to just gloss her clothes and hair, but then...
So I ended up smearing it across her face.
Don't you hate when things like that happen!?

Here's a geisha I just made... she's about to go in the oven.

When she's all done she will get a clear gloss glaze and be mounted on a beveled piece of wood I painted black.

OMG! How is it that I have never tried this photo transfer stuff before?! This is so totally cooooool!....

I was so excited about these doctor who charms that I took their picture straight out of the oven. They're still hot! LOL... I can't wait for them to cool down so I can put some gloss on!!!!!!

So, I was watching Yo Gabba Gabba with my 2 year old this morning. It's her favorite show. (actually of all of the kids shows I have endured over the last 8 years its my fav too   Roll Eyes lol)

Anyway--- I found myself inspired... I started these magnets about an hour ago. They are not quite complete-- But I plan to update the photos as I work on them....

time to move on to the eyes!


I added the eyes...

And then some more details....

Now I'm off to bake, gloss em up, and paint on some eyes and mouths....
