1  My First Ever Copic Bound Journal in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by Craft Junkie on: December 05, 2011 11:35:39 AM
I've been art journaling for a number of years now but it's always been in premade or bought journals. I've wanted to learn how to bind my own but didn't even try until now. This is my first attempt and I'm pretty proud of it, too.
Here is the front with a journal page from Teesha Moore, adhered decoupage style:

And here is the binding:

The signatures, there are five, are #140 Fabriano hot press watercolor paper, my favorite to art journal on. It's silky smooth, holds up to a tremendous amount of water, paint, glue and anything else I dice to throw at it, and thick enough to be sturdy without being bulky.

I had a great time making this and am planning to make lots more.

Peace & Love,

2  My First Quilted Fabric Art Journal - IMG OBESE in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by Craft Junkie on: June 30, 2010 07:30:00 AM
Because this is a journal, I'm posting it here even though the cover is made of fabric and is quilted...it's still a journal. I do hope I've picked the right spot. *shrug*

I've seen so many great fabric covered journals and I couldn't resist trying my hand at it. It measures 9 1/2" x 12" when closed and has three signatures inside, containing a total of 20 sheets (40 if counting front and back) of Fabriano Artistico 140# Hot Press Watercolor paper. Doing something different, I folded the sheets into odd sizes and some have 2" or 3" fold overs just to add interest.

Let me know what you think...

The front

And who doesn't love a pink heart? LOL

The back

With the fold-over closure opened up

Opened completely, showing the awesome Fabriano Artistico 140# hot press watercolor paper inside, just ready for some great art journaling to begin! WOOT!
Thanks so much for looking.
C&C greatly appreciated!

3  My first Carved Stamps in Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects by Craft Junkie on: April 27, 2010 07:45:53 PM
These are the first stamps I've ever adventured into carving. I am loving the process and am learning bits and pieces of how to carve them better with smoother lines the more I do.
I hope you'll take a few minutes to check them out through these links (I've lurked for ages but just now starting to post so I apologize with the links instead of direct posting of the pics.)

I've got a bunch more that I want to carve if my order of Speedy Carve will hurry up and get here.

Comments & critiques are welcomed and appreciated.
