1  Re: The Long Awaited Poppet-Along in Craftalongs by lollerskates on: March 11, 2008 11:31:30 AM
Should the back of my Poppet's head remind me of E.T. the Extraterrestrial?  Or have I cut my head funny?

ETA:  Yearrrrg does the picture look funny to you guys too?  Stupid photobucket.  If it's mucked then let me know and I'll re-upload...

2  My first spinning/plying attempt! in Spinning: Completed Projects by lollerskates on: February 27, 2008 05:22:09 AM
I'm quite pleased actually Cheesy  I've been chronicling it on my deviantART, so instead of posting all the pics here in this thread, here are the links to check out the photos and any comments I might have had while spinning it.  I spun (and plyed) it on a student Ashford drop spindle.

If you're a DA user, don't be shy, please leave me a comment, criticism, tip, or suggestion over there if you'd like Smiley  I think it's a shame that the fiber arts section of DA gets so under-represented.

3  Re: Aren't there any good Boy Hats out there? in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by lollerskates on: November 25, 2004 06:43:50 PM
Can anybody tell me what woolease is similar too?  I can't find it anywhere in this stupid city.  Christ, I hate Ottawa so much.  I tried to knit the NYC beanie suggested above, but as you can see in the pics, it knit up super tiny (Patons Canadiana) and isn't even as big as a hat I knit for myself that even I can't squeeze my head into (and I have a tiny head)!

I can't take this any longer.  I'm going to freak out.  What is Woolease like?  I'm never going to get this done....

4  My first scarf EVAR in Knitting: Completed Projects by lollerskates on: October 20, 2004 08:51:43 PM

Looks quite much like the one Black Lamb made, huh?  I swear, I didn't start lurking in the knitting sub forum until after I'd already started my project v_v;;

Here's a "close-up" (pardon my bad webcam):

I used a Patons "Divine" yarn in Orangina, acrylic/mohair/poly blend.  Not bad to work with.  Used 6mm needles.

What should be my next beginner project, girls (and maybe boys)?
