1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Steam-punk inspired makeup! on: August 24, 2011 06:41:15 PM
what happens when I am extremely bored and randomly get inspired??

well 2 hours later you get this!
(excuse the horrible quality, these were taken on my webcam)

it's definitely not perfect, but I think it's pretty good for being 16 and having no real training. I'm pretty proud!

thanks for looking!!! feel free to comment on what I can improve or anything!

edit- just noticed how HORRIBLE the colors are represented in these pictures, the center of the main portion of the eye mask is a warm crimson/brown fading out to black around the edges. the silver and gold both had metallic finishes however all other colors used were matte.

edit part 2- here's a picture that's a better representation of the makeup Smiley

3  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / first creation post- some makeup looks on: February 04, 2011 04:11:17 PM
well, I've been lurking for a while, and wanting to post something, but it just recently dawned on me that I could post some of my makeup looks!I get bored really easily, and makeup always seems to be there to entertain me Smiley Now I'm not very good, I'm only 15 and still working on it, I someday hope to go into makeup professionally. but anyways... on to the looks!

-evil clown (yes it's supposed to look messy, and excuse the weird expression, my cousin told me to look evil...I'm bad at that xD)

-frankenstein (the oldest of these)

-my interpretation of a darker mime (yeah I'm kinda weird...)

-cherry blossom (it's kind of an abstract interpretation that I did about 20 minutes ago LOL)

4  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: A Very Potter Musical/Sequel Swap on: December 04, 2010 12:05:27 PM
I think they got in contact with the people who made it... I'll have to ask my sister but I think they said it was fine and just gave them the script. Like I said, I'm not positive!

I could see them getting the script pretty easily, but how did they get the karaoke track or sheet music?! I looked for the "back to hogwarts" Karaoke track/sheet music for months so I could preform it and found out they never wrote down the sheet music and there is no karaoke track out there Sad

8  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / Need help finding patterns!! (emeraldas cosplay) on: February 12, 2010 04:44:25 PM
hello Smiley

unfortunately i only have a month to make this cosplay Sad but i plan on being emeraldas from the harlock series.

i want my costume to be like this

i plan on doing the cape dress and the little shrug type thing on top of the cape all seperate, but im not an expert at sewing so i would like patterns, unfortunately im having trouble finding a pattern for a dress with 3/4 sleeves thats short and tightish, im also having trouble finding a pattern for the cape. and i have no idea how to make the little shrug thing (no idea what its called) im also not sure what i should put the collar on or how to make it. so if you could give me some ideas (pictures would be appreciated. im a visual person) i would be insanely grateful!! thankyou in advance!!!
