Totally, I drool at her stuff. I tried creating the layered effect with a base of acrylic and then layers of different colored stamp pads dabbed on...its not quite as dramatic as the EarthArt stuff but okish. I think maybe next time I'll try it with acrylics to see what happens.

Aww  Grin I'd love to make you something! My stuff either gets claimed right away or sits for months haha.

I can't wait for this swap to start!  Cheesy

Thanks guys for the kudos - um I can pretty much guarentee triptychs will be popping up in my shop over the next month or so  Grin I did the ones in the post on book board (same stuff I used for my silhouette paintings) so they're roughly that size though I might make a few tiny ones for cute fun. I'm thinking the blue one will end up in my shop - sorry ladies, for once I'm keeping one for me and it's the yellow one  Grin I'll probably end up recreating it in some form or fashion though.

UF Insanely cool news! I hope you stock your shop with awesome crafty Thai goodies hehe. And I'd probably also be interested in fun colorful buttons if you have them.

Ok, back to work I suppose  Roll Eyes

These are amazing I love them both.  And you totally answered a question of mine about one of my art projects about sharpies and acrilyic paint.  I was trying to calculate how many sharpies I'd have to go through to make a picture. lol luckily i have loads of acrylic paint so i can rest easy now hahah.  I have to ask what did you paint them on? is it canvas? and was it huge pieces?

They were painted on bookboard actually and are smaller than you're thinking, I think haha. The middle one on both are approximately 8 x 8 inches to give you an idea. It could easily be scaled up bigger for canvases and such though.

Just posted my first attempts at triptychs  here https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=343208.0

Would anyone be interested in anything like this?

I've admired triptychs like this for a long time and decided to finally try making my own. I used acrylic paints and sharpie. Originally I was just going to do all the black in sharpie but it didn't look too great so I went over it in black acrylic paint which makes it pop a lot more. The sharpie is great for getting the design down initially though.

Thanks for looking guys!  Grin

Crazy, the high for today is in the mid 80s and its only April 2nd!!! I have a feeling this is going to be a hot hot summer. I'm sweating already.

Hi Scifunk! Am I correct in remembering that we did a personal swap before? In any case I think you'll find the STS bunch to be a total hoot  Cheesy I've tried to leave and they pulled me back in haha. There is just nothing else like it on craftster imo  Smiley

I made a couple of triptych paintings for fun and they turned out surprisingly well. I had my doubts at first. I think I might make a few more for my shop later this month. Trying to think of other new fun things to do as well. I'm planning on joining the third round of the random swap soon so maybe I'll make duplicates of whatever I make my partner  Grin
