Made out of a 1.99 salvation army dress and leftovers from a recon. ribbon grid and cardboard letters. made a sweetheart neckline, necklace to match.

for my second night of halloween i decided to be ke$ha. what better way to celebrate halloween as a crazy waste case. ironically i did next to no drinking but it was still fun. the only thing store bought is the "onesie" from deb for 4 bucks. added glitter and studs for the $, holed up tights, sewed up faux fur vest and a bunch of random bracelets.. and of course my toothbrush to brush my teeth with a bottle of jack

i used ribbon to make the grid of the board and glued it with no sew on to a tan dress purchased at the salvation army for 1.99. for the game pieces and tiles i drew them and covered them with tape to lamanate in case of rain. i made the ruffles out of extra fabric i had around. glued cardboard letters on to tights (while they were on, hurt coming off haha) had a lot of fun!

Picked up a dress at the salvation army for $1 and I loved the color and the bottom.. snipped a few pieces off and new dressss

prolly gonna sew the middle a bit for less boobage.

5  Skirt out of old prom dress..first recon project! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by CleverandCatchy on: September 14, 2010 09:27:22 PM
Inspired by the "new dress a day" girl, I've taken to my closet to recon my old prom dress which I haven't had the heart to get rid of over the past 6 years :X. I loved the pattern and wanted to do something with it. Here is the only pic I could find of the dress before I butchered it...The bottom belled out and had a bunch of tulle under it. I cut off the belled out bottom and hand sewed the sides since sewing machines scare me. Experience in 6th grade..haha. This is my end product and I plan on wearing it out this weekend!



The beauty of it is I still have the top part I plan to hem up, and sweetheart the neckline and wear as a cocktail dress. Which.. I have to learn how to do.
