1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / cubicle sweet cubicle on: December 27, 2008 06:39:36 PM
The Mayor for the city that I work for is a fan of the "bullpen" style of office space meaning that in the next month I will be moving from my lovely office to a cubicle.  One of my coworkers is very upset about this move so I made her the following picture for her new digs.  I used a pattern from hoop love.

Thanks for looking!

2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / My Mother's Favorite Herb on: December 22, 2008 04:47:55 PM
My Mom is obsessed with bay leaves - she thinks the addition of this herb makes any dish taste better so I have made her a bay leaf basket of goodies for Christmas this year (I even made Bay Leaf Ice cream!)  This is a picture that I made for the basket from an Aunt Martha's pattern.

Thanks for looking!
3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / podcast on: October 20, 2008 03:46:25 AM
Good morning!
I was just looking for an embroidery podcast on Itunes and alas, I found none.  Can anyone recommend one?
4  New York / New York: NYC and Long Island / Brooklyn Embroidery on: October 14, 2008 10:30:22 AM
Are there any Brooklyn folks who embroider and want to meet up for coffee and stitching?
5  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / My version of France pillowcase on: October 12, 2008 01:29:19 PM
So I have never been to France but I dream often of going.  This pillowcase represents what I think it will look like (just kidding).  I plan on making another with champagne, cheese and bread because when I have my dream trip to France, I plan on consuming those items often!

6  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Meowio Batali on: September 28, 2008 11:49:38 AM
I have been lurking around this area for over a month now picking up embroidery tips from everyone - thanks so much!!

This is the first thing I have done - I made it for my husband who is a chef and who also is a huge fan of Mario Batali.  It is from a Aunt Martha's pattern.

Thanks for all the help!!!

7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Virgin Swapper on: August 26, 2008 02:58:57 PM

I am new to craftster and am intrigued by the swap concept but it looks so intense?  Has there ever been a swap for people who have never done a swap before or would anyone be interested?
