11  Star Wars Felt Christmas Ornaments in Winter Holidays by devilduck on: December 14, 2013 12:18:18 AM
My husband and I belong to a Star Wars club and we hosted our clubs Christmas Party this year. Besides decorating our house with all sorts of Star Wars figures, helmets, more figures, etc... I created a bunch of Star Wars ornaments out of felt for one of the Christmas trees I set up. I was going to make a few but inspiration (and the Star Wars marathon that was on TV a couple of weeks ago) took over and I ended up making 43!

Here they are:

The Villians

The Good Guys

The Prequel Gang

The Cantina Crowd & Jabba's Palace Regulars

The Furry Friends

I created all of them with regular craft store felt, used hot glue to adhere everything together and I then used sharpies to add details. Hope you like them!

12  Star Wars Blanket!! Lots of pics in Crochet: Completed Projects by devilduck on: November 01, 2013 05:39:59 PM

Here's the Star Wars blanket I finished a few months ago for my son. I based the first few designs on Leah Fenton's patterns that I found on Ravelry. Then I went a little crazy and made a whole bunch more of my own. I'm very proud of this as its the biggest project I've made so far.

On the blanket:
Admiral Piett, Wampa, A-Wing, Donk-Donk Droid, Lando Calrissian
C3PO, R2D2, Stormtrooper, Tusken Raider, Death Star
X-Wing, Greedo, Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Emperor Palpatine
Biker Scout, Wicket, Luke Skywalker, Tie Fighter, Gamorrean Gaurd
Slave 1, Darth Vader, Jawa, Chewbacca, Leia Organa
Boba Fett, Admiral Ackbar, Han Solo, Snow Trooper, Millennium Falcon

14  Thorin Oakenshield in Halloween Costumes by devilduck on: November 01, 2013 12:28:19 PM
Here's the Thorin Oakenshield costume I made for my son. I began with a pattern and altered it as I needed to. The best part of this costume was that he's just about the size Thorin actually is, watching him Trick or Treat was hilarious!

15  Little Tom Selleck in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by devilduck on: August 28, 2009 10:52:14 PM
I made this little Tom Selleck for my mom. She is undergoing treatment right now for breast cancer. Her best friend gave her some stuffed small animals (that have special meaning) to take to her chemo treatments and I wanted to give her something too.
She has always loved Tom Selleck amd Magnum PI is one of her favorite shows so I figured she should have her own Tom Selleck to take with her.

He is made out of felt and fabric and stuffed with cotton and he stands about 6 inches tall and he even wears a pink ribbon supporting breast cancer.

When I gave him to my mom she couldn't stop laughing and all the nurses at the hospital love him too!

16  Nightmare before Christmas purse (pic heavy) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by devilduck on: August 28, 2009 10:37:50 PM
I made this purse for my daughter we are both NBC fans. The Jack side is awesome fabric I found and the Sally side was made from scraps I had on hand. I used the sewing machine to make the swirls and I sewed the big stitches with embroidery thread by hand.
The purse ended up being about 10 x 12 inches and has a zipper on top.

17  Jungle Animal Mural in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by devilduck on: August 14, 2009 10:10:15 PM
This is a mural I painted for my daughter's girl scout troop. They were hosting an event with a jungle theme.
The mural is about a 10 foot long piece of muslin and it took me a few weeks to finish.
Also I had to work on it in sections because I didn't have anywhere to lay it out flat and see the entire thing. I'm happy with how it turned out, alot of troops took their group pictures in of front it at the event.

This is my first time posting a project, I hope this works!
