2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Help me figure this out please?!?!? on: July 09, 2010 02:39:36 PM
I'm wanting to make a shirt like this http://www.etsy.com/listing/32147606/sunny-fields-smocked-top?ref=sr_gallery_1&ga_search_query=smocked+halter+top&ga_search_type=&ga_page=&order=&includes[]=tags&includes[]=title but I'm having problems. I found a tute online and I did what it said. I bought some elastic thread and hand wound the bobbin loosely. I backed stitched both the beginning and the end. It said not to worry if it didn't gather too much but mine gathered ALOT. It had no give to it. anytime I pulled on it even the slightest bit the threads would snap and everything came out. I have no clue what I'm doing wrong here. can anyone help PLEASE!!!

10  COOKING / Dessert / Laptop Cake on: September 20, 2008 09:30:31 PM
This is a grooms cake I did for a friend of mine. The bottom keyboard part is 2 layer white cake cover with buttercream and fondant keyboard keys. The screen is just cardboard covered with fondant and pics added. I was pretty pleases with it. It was the talk of the wedding. Everyone liked it better than the brides cake. And it was a surprise to the groom and he loved it.
