1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Crayon Tote on: February 25, 2011 05:33:20 AM
I've seen these all over the place, so I know it's not super creative; but, I've just loved them. So, a cousin of my dh has a birthday coming up,and he's turning 5, and about to make a long road trip back to the other side of the country. Anyways, I thought I'd give it a go. I used this tutorial, http://fromanigloo.blogspot.com/2010/02/art-bag-tutorial.html ; but, switched it up a bit, and added another layer for crayons, and an extra pocket for random art stuff he may want to add.  I also know, for future reference, I need to add more for a bit bigger seam allowance, since my top stitching made it too small for the coloring book. I had to take all of the top stitching out. I also know straight lines and I are not the best of friends. :p Anyways, thanks for looking!

The outside, which is upside down, I realized too late :p

The inside ( don't mind the white dot, i think it's from my camera)
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Folklore Bag on: February 25, 2011 05:26:12 AM
My mother's birthday was a few weeks ago, and all she really asked for was to be taken out to eat, and to hang out with her grandkids. However, I wanted to give her something, so I decided on a purse. I hadn't created a purse in quite a while; but, I think it turned out pretty decent. I got the pattern and everything from the awesome book 101 one-yard Wonders. Thanks for looking!

This is the outside

And the inside, all nice and lined and everything :p
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Cute Asymmetrical skirt on: January 09, 2005 10:19:10 AM
This is the first skirt I've made without using an actual pattern. Tho, i did use the tutorial from ohmystars. Anyway, I was so proud that I could actually do and have it look cute, I thought I'd share.  Grin
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Making a hoodie bigger on: January 04, 2005 08:57:21 AM
I thought I'd make a sweatshirt i found at goodwill into a fitted hoodie. My problem is that I'm a big dork, and while i made sure that arms would fit, and i measured my waist, i forgot to measure my bust and take that into account. So, I cut up the sides and took the sleeves off and made them smaller, so it fits everywhere except the bust, and I don't know how to fix it.  I know I can add fabric to the sides and just make it two toned, but it looks weird and i need more fabric on the top than on the bottom, so how do I make it go into the underarm area so that it doesn't look weird or all bunched up?

Sorry if this has been posted on before, I searched but didn't come with anything really.

Thanks in advance,
